OH MY GOD HE GOT IT!

Congratulations Stupot+ :)

It's my bad I forgot to consider the summertime/wintertime thingy. My idea has been GMT and every timezone higher getting it's bonus points, every time zone lower getting there equivalent minus points, but first thing was, nobody from america wanted to do my points game so you guys never got confronted with that and second thing was, that of course atm the it is not GMT in the UK, like I thought it was. So I accidently used BST the whole time :D

This is simply amazing! One of the most relaxing things I've ever seen done with AGS. I couldn't stop watching the pixels spread, die and spread again last night. I was completely fascinated. At first i thought getting a balance on a small island would be hard to achieve but your algorhithm is really sophisticated, it's as if nature itself readjusts the balance.

At the moment I am waiting for the carnivores to get over a small path to an island where herbivores are eating the plants but never get to fully let them extinct. This invasion seems to take a lot of cycles.

Here are some features I would love to have (but very likely never get :P):

- option to speed up and slow down time. maybe also revert time ;)
- data, data, data. I want population numbers, scales, balance diagrams :D
- I thought about temperature changes and how the animals could get over water in very cold moments of the simulation and die out in very hot moments, that could also shrink the water areas.
- someone mentioned human influence. That would be amazing to watch small groups of modern people spread out with a click from the maps edges, hack down plants, hunt both animal kinds and build big areas of concrete (cities), change the water lines and so on :D

Danvzare: Nope. still the wrong word there.
Cassiebsg: Nope. Same as Danvzare.

please explain every relevant part of how to get a point as you say it, maybe I am just interpreting it wrong, or maybe give me an example (roll) (nod)

I can't work with the solution like that.

Okay. I found the problem. First thing is, I didn't understand the important connection of auto-numbering speech lines and creating the voice acting script. But after testing the feature in an older version and getting another empty script, I got behind the order of things to do.

Now I remembered: The auto-numbering crashed AGS yesterday so I shut down the computer and went to bed. Today I didn't remember that happening and tried to do the script nevertheless. That's why it wasn't complete. While doing the auto-numbering once more it crashed again. After an AGS restart it finally did a full renumbering and after that I could create a complete voice acting script.

So the only problem still exisiting is the auto numbering occasionally crashing in both version 3.4.0.7. and 3.4.0.10. I guess it's always happening while trying to number the dialogs (right after the window telling me something like it's updating the last room of the game).

look closer! I thought this too (laugh)

Yeah, I mean the common dialog scripts. My game is created with this newest version and using it's cool features pretty heavily. I can only tell you, that the 3.4.0.7 I used before couldn't even do a proper voice acting script. it just did an, besides the title and header, empty text file. So considering that, I do believe you guys did something from 3.4.0.7. to 3.4.0.10 that improved the wizard. ;)
Older version won't work with my game so I don't think, I can test it on them. But I could do a new project with one dialog script that is backwards compatible and check it out, if you want.

Another game I am doing with the older version 3.3.5. is having a different problem when trying to use the voice acting script wizard (). I have to figure that one out first (maybe I will open a thread for that in the next time, but actually I don't need a script there)

Hi there,

sweet new version!

I have no idea if it is a bug, but I think the voice acting script wizard isn't finding all the lines. It doesn't seem to cover any of the separated dialog scripts? Is that intended or a known problem?

Cheers

Similar phenomenon happening to me at least once a week: attempting to start a new thread in beginners technical questions. Writing the problem down in the posting window for hours and as I am close to sending it, suddenly the solution blows my mind... (laugh)

Still pure fun to play! The voice acting is amazing and i loved the now added business of the bigger bots. Exactly what I hoped. It's simply a AGS short game gem. <3 I guess I'll play it at least once a year just for the fun of it.

Update!

As somebody pmed me about a job: this game is non commercial. So no payment, just for fun!

Male voices are casted.

Still in need for a female english voice! Preferably US or UK. Please don't let me do it :D

Still testers and translators wanted (non commercial! ;)).
