The first three hardly need crits. They're perfect!
The fourth just looks like a posterised photo. I don't see the point.

The last one, though, me likey! It looks like an old spectrum screenshot, from Mugsy or something. I'd love to see a game in this style.

Just finished - great game, thanks!
Some of the puzzles were a bit random, but overall very enjoyable.

For the manual, there are images for the background that don't show up with the version of Word I'm using unless I set it to web layout view. I presume that's why most people can't see it. PDF is probably the way to go if you must have the backgrounds. It's a nice looking manual!

[EDIT] for Sergio: yes, you could save it as html, but then you'd lose the page layout.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks to all involved!

Couldn't resist making another.

[EDIT] I'm talking nonsense now.

Two words: Guitar Hero.

I've been playing this at work and it rocks.
(It's a flashier version of the old Konami Guitar Freaks arcade/PS1 game.)

My biggest problem with the image is the one pixel steps, at the top of the wall and on the left of the left hand window.
I love what you've done with the surfaces.

I've been taking a coding hiatus (watching Lost amongst other things).
I was in the middle of speeding up the engine, making it more flexible, converting to C++ classes, and so on, so it might be a while before there's anything new.

It won't take long untill (if it's not already possible) that copyprotection is breached as easily as an unguarded fridge.

The point is not that it's copy protected, but what the copy protection does to your computer. Read the article.

Choir Simulator

[EDIT] Need for Speed Limits. Heh.

Nice atmosphere!
Aside from what has already been mentioned:
- there's a lot of "wasted" (featureless) space
- the buildings in the background are very regular in size and close together
- the windows in those buildings are very IRregular
- the doorframe probably shouldn't be made of the same material as the wall
- the light is too low - it wouldn't be at the same level as the top of the door
- the drainpipe should be parallel to the edge of the wall
- the step up into the building should be slightly taller, so that water draining off the building doesn't flow over it
- the window break isn't believable - there would be cracks across the pane
- presumably the door is going to be an object
- how about water coming out of the drainpipe?
- and some animated rings where water hits the concrete?

Evil, that rules!
You must have used some special carving equipment... right?

The truth is, I can't draw

Liar!

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time round. Looks awesome!
The most originally styled AGS game yet!

Good luck getting it finished.

And let's not forget the Downing Street Memo.

I blame the teachings of Star Trek.
The captain always bends over backwards to observe the customs of visitors, no matter how ridiculous.

Personally I'll be celebrating Festivus this year.

This is great. I agree with Scummy, could do with some proofreading, and there are a few hotspots with no name or with "Hotspot #" as the name.

I kept thinking it was going to be over, and then a new area opened up. Good stuff!

It seems this is your first real game. (Apologies if that's not the case.)
Also, it seems you are working on a RON game, in which case I would definitely recommend 320x200.
Then again, I would nearly always recommend 320x200.

Perhaps if you post some example art we can help you decide. I had a quick look back through your posts but any artwork is now just little '?'s now. There wasn't much, so again I recommend 320x200.
