Modules, Plugins & Tools / Re: MODULE: Ags 3d

I can't make a Novodex (physics) enhanced version for mac, but everything else should be possible.
The plugin source code will be available in case drevil decides to support Linux plugins.

Just a question, is the module free-lanced, like AGS.Ã,  Ya' know, no boundries or copyright fines?

Sure. It's released under the LGPL, which you can find at www.gnu.org/copyleft/lesser.html.
You can do whatever you want with it, but I'd appreciate a credit.
Of course, Novodex probably has a rather stricter license. You should check that.

I'd give him some clothes - he'd look less like a wooden puppet.

Just to waste your time further, how about...?

Code: ags

// global
int followTimeOut = 0;

// repex
followTimeOut--;
if (followTimeOut < 0)
{
  followTimeOut = GetGameSpeed();
  cKiller.FollowCharacter(NULL);
  cKiller.FollowCharacter(cPlayer, 0, 0);
}

This will, I think, force a recalculate.

Awesome!
So the characters are 1/2 scale and the backgrounds are 1/4 scale?

And has Scids become a church?
#2027
Sounds like a plan.
Is there some way to parameterize it? Recalc if the followed character moves X pixels, or Y game frames elapses.
In the meantime, what happens if you call FollowCharacter again? If it recalculates, Sektor13 could use that with some delay (say once a second).

I'm not one, I like the country a lot, I love living here, but I fail to see a reason on the OPEL cars being named VAUXHALL. Same with WALKERS and LAYS...

Walkers is a subsidiary of Lays (now I dislike them even more! thanks!), and produces a completely different product. Crisps, not chips.

As for Vauxhall, why not call all the cars General Motors? Because people recognise the brand. British people are buying the cars and they want to buy Vauxhall, not Opel or GM. According to this wikipedia article it was mainly big companies buying company cars that forced Vauxhall to stay Vauxhall:

Haddas, you realise that's not something to be proud of...

Seriously though, I hope there's a way to solve it for the deaf
Hm, and what would that be?

If you turn the sound off, it could show some waveforms.

So, what's the next step?
Finish it with slightly changed names?
Or a completely different product with the team and engine?

It uses a simple (but nearly impossible to break) Exclusive-Or encryption to secure your external files, so no one can read them but you.

Heh. I remember Comanche Maximum Overkill's data files used XOR encryption with a 32 bit key (64 bit for the sequel). That was easy to crack, because the data was so regular.

Nice idea for a module!

Yeah, bloody Walkers.
They took over the crisps industry in the 80s - and forced my beloved Golden Wonder out.
At least Tandragee Castle is still home to Tayto. Mmm, Onion Rings.

The same goes for RON, but in that case you also need to take the episode storyline in consideration (read: played and finished every RON game to date).

That's a good point, although there are plot summaries, character bios, etc on the site. I don't think anyone is going to make a RON game without at least playing a couple of the games but there's no need to play them all...

However, the downloadee would have to prserve th sub-directory structure when unzipping or else they would have a real mess.Ã,

Does anyone *not* preserve the directory structure when unzipping? That's crazy talk.

I wish I had such a comprehensive demo quest when I first started using AGS (there was a pretty good one back then, but much more focused on the basics).

Is there still a small, simple demo? This beast is probably quite daunting for the beginner.

Seems more logical to me. I like it.

Does it really take 15 minutes to save the game?
Once it saves does everything go back to normal speed?
