Looks bloody superb so far!
Where does Yahtzee get the time??

Some of the games are available in the games database, and the Completed Games thread.
Some, including the winner, shamefully, are not.

Looks superb!
I disagree about the eye. I think having a blink would be too repetitive during a walk cycle. An idle is a better place for that.
The outline around his tail end changes colour from brown to black.
The back arm looks a little bit thicker than the front arm.
And just above the arm at the shoulder, the pixel step in seems a bit rough. I think it might be better continuing the back straight down through that area.
But, fantastic walk cycle.

Cute!
It looks like the character rises a pixel at the extreme poses rather than in the middle.
The extremes have a "punch" - perhaps this could be avoided by changing the timing.
Also, perhaps rotating the body one frame earlier and holding it would smooth it out.
The feet seem to slide in both views. I'd try lifting the forward moving foot a pixel. You could wrinkle the dress around that foot to break the symmetry more.

According to Mobygames, the third game in the series wa splanned to be called "Crusader: No Mercy", though it was never made. So I don'tthink it really matters whether or not it has an R word.

Aah, but it didn't get made... and now we know why.
Should have called it No Repentance! Errr, ok, that's no good.

How about No Lament? That has a certain ring. Not very grammatically correct though.

Game looks good.
Where exactly in Austin is this facility? I'd like to check it out :)

I'd just like to know what the hell finishing a game has to do with voting on its merits?
How do you know what's in there if you haven't finished the game? I nearly gave up on Gladiator Quest before discovering the arena. That's a big part of the game.

On the other hand, I recognise that playing the game solely from a walkthrough isn't a good idea either. You can't judge the puzzles/gameplay if you've got the answers in front of you.

If you're having trouble with a game, post here (with [ hide ] markup) for some clues.

Well done!
Just make sure he doesn't see this thread...

What stands out to me is that the curve of the brim of the hat aligns perfectly with the width of the face - it makes it look like he's blindfolded under his hat.
If you offset the pixels a bit it will help I think.

Also, he seems to be wearing a black tshirt under his trenchcoat. That looks out of place. Perhaps a white shirt, with the knot of a tie, would fit better. You've got plenty of pixels in there to play with!

Finally from me, his hands are quite "legoman".

I agree, looks fantastic.
I love the B&W style!
Very Tim Burton-ish.

That goldfish looks evil. 10 pixels of pure hate. I'm not sure I want to save it.

Looks great, of course. I admire your dedication to making it a quality product.

Is it a comedy? The title sounds pretty irreverent, but the graphics and plot indicate otherwise. I recommend losing the "Henri 6:" part of the title - since we haven't seen parts 1-5...

I'd love to beta test - your English is excellent but occasionally somewhat unusual :)

for getting that ripped copy of Photoshop 7.0 from my school
Probably shouldn't be advocating piracy...

Jake - yay!
roccarabbit - That's rather a larger undertaking.
Edmundo - yeah you can use Virtual PC, but that costs lettuce ($99 at the moment).

I'd like walkthroughs - I've finished everything except:
Gladiator Quest - I'd like to see where it goes - took me a while to realise there was combat in the game!
Dance Til You Drop - I'm a bit stuck.
Spoiler

What is the safe combination? Something to do with 36 I gather...

They updated the zip file. When I downloaded it, the game "Hiyah" was broken. I couldn't find the time yet to update my zip file. But no review is not necessarily a bad review.

There's an individual download for that. See page 4 of the thread.

Dragon's Lair was a laserdisc game:
http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/pages/dl.asp

While you're playing back a video you can't detect time or type of key press. I think the only way to do this would be to wait until the video finishes then present a couple of options (perhaps while looping the end of the video with background frames or sprites).

Wow, awesome (and varied) stuff!
I don't think anything is a clear winner this time... which is great for the competition.
The first "game" I played was balloonface - that had me chuckling constantly.
Is there a voting page ready?

The games I tried were The Apprentice and the Valis demo, I didnt get a bug report though when it quit. I'll try the new version now.

Hmm, perhaps you were running Apprentice Deluxe?
I updated the engine to allow you to ignore missing plugins. The moment a script needs them the game will quit, but it's useful for games that use the creditz plugin, for example.
Valis appears to work fine on Tiger.
I also fixed a bug when running Da New Guys.
