Is this a recompile that creates new executables for the Mac, or some sort of AGS engine emulation for the Mac?Ã,  Hook us up with some more info.

Hey, I'm not crazy! It's a recompile of the AGS interpreter, building on top of Dr Evil's great work with the Linux version. I've been working with CJ on it.

I was hoping to be able to associate .exes with the AGS executable so that you could just double click on the windows exe. It looks like you might have to rename the exe to .agsgame or something like that.

Allowing our games to be played on the Mac will expand AGS' audience by quite a bit.

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately there are no plans for an editor yet. That would be a major undertaking.

Thanks for your kind words.

Some great looking games on the horizon. Dave, I was particularly looking forward to playing the Without a Prayer demo. Good stuff!

I tried to get something ready for the 25th, but there are still a couple of niggling issues, so some screenshots will have to do:

AGS on the Mac.
Games are fully playable (full screen too) - except for movie playback, which I'm working on.
Plugins are supported, but I've only got the source code to my own...

Steve

PS It's stil the 25th here.

Can someone find a really high-end area in America? I wanna see big mansions and swimming pools. Hey, who knows where the Neverland Ranch is?

How about this?
Lakefront properties, mansions, speedboats, swimming pools.

Some Beverly Hills mansions. Don't ask me what those ringed terraces are...

Wow, Neverland Ranch is actually a ranch out in the middle of nowhere!

Didn't you hear? Microids sold their Canadian branch to Ubisoft. The people who made Still Life will be (may already be) working on Ubisoft titles. There is no one to make the next installment.

"This agreement does not cover any of MC2-Microids intellectual property or projects currently under development."
Interesting. They bought the employees. How Victorian.
Presumably the IP is still held by Microids proper rather than Microids Canada. So if there's a sequel in the works, perhaps the development will continue elsewhere?

So, err, Shadowplay! Yay! Looking forward to the demo!

Looking good!
I'd avoid having Richard call Margareth "Marge" - in my mind anyway that's too connected to the Simpsons. Perhaps "Maggie" - oh damn, that's the Simpsons too.
I love the map screen and the dark atmosphere of the whole thing.
Great (if somewhat derivative, graphically) main characters.

Shouldn't "I'm not putting my lips on that" be in the "similar" category?

I live in Hollywood, a few blocks northeast of the Hollywood/Highland complex and southeast of the Hollywood Bowl--and for some reason on the Google maps the Kodak Theatre (part of the Hollywood/Highland complex) is labelled

Looks like it's on the building to me - they sensibly painted it so it reads right when the satellite photo is oriented north = up.
There's also a building with "(c) 2005 Google" painted on it a little bit further down. :=

Wow, this is neat.  Austin sure does look ARID.

But... but... look at all that grass, all those trees!

SSH, they're keeping an eye on radicals.

My house, just to the left of the marker.

Some of the city downtown shots are composited from different positions - it's funny to see two groups of buildings angled sharply towards each other.

I don't know what to think. Seems like *everyone* was being unreasonable.
Of course it's big money so I can see why Ferrari didn't want to add the chicane.
But the other teams could just have driven slowly around the corner... at least they would have had a chance at some points.
And the FIA could have insisted on the chicane just to prevent the race falling apart.

The big problem is that there's a conflict of interest between money and entertainment. At the end of the day entertainment should come first or the money will dry up.

So *everyone* should have been willing to compromise, not *no-one*. They are *all* to blame - the FIA, Ferrari, and the teams that pulled out.

Prog, methinks you're too bashful to take credit for such a fine body :)

The original Batman was dark for all of 3 months. Then came 35 years of campy fun, then Miller did to him the same thing as he did to Daredevil...and every other single character he has written.

I really think my version of events was more accurate...

Aah, but you merely belittled Miller, rather than ridiculing him. So I prefer LN's history.

Is it made with AGS?
I didn't see any mention of it on the homepage.
The screenshots look like the half life 2 engine.
(144Mb is a lot to download to verify.)
Cheers,
Steve

If it is AGS, that's two commercial games released within a day of each other, Mystery Manor and Midnight Manor. Weird!

[EDIT] On your website, you have "Domestic" and "International" orders, without an explicit "We are in the USA". That could be confusing. When one clicks on Domestic it says $19.99 USD, which is a clarification, I suppose.

Its the name, GK1 is called "Sins of OUR fathers".

No, it's called Sins of the Fathers.
It strikes me as a very strange name - I'm surprised you came up with much the same thing independently. Maybe there's some shared pool of influence that I'm missing.

Anyway, I see you've changed it to The Sin's. Seems a bit odd to have that apostrophe. Either way it looks like a parody of The Sims.

I do like the screenshots, although they're too cleanly lit for my taste.

Holy freholy.
Awesome stuff.
And in 10-15 minutes?
You could ship with that style of background.

Looks good!
Lots of nice animation.

The 3d backgrounds show promise. They are a bit monotextural, but that's probably to speed up the production process.

Oh, and I love the font.

I agree with Pablo on this one.
She looks freaky in your edit, Prog. Your other changes are great though.
And the original sprite was excellent too - didn't really need much polishing.
