Awesome, Yoke!
(The other two are great too.)

Wow, two great characters. The man looks very good, but the girl could use some work. Her hips get to thin to early. It makes her look like a centar. Maybe widen her body just a bit.

I disagree.
The body shape is just another idiosyncracy that makes the character interesting.

Don't worry about the animation...

Yes, very nice.
- the vines wrapped around the tree on the right look a bit fat to me - and where do they go?
- the roots of that tree look a bit like the central leg of a table, the way they fatten out
- the grey green trees stand out a bit oddly
- what's with the breast hill on the right in the background?
- the mountains have points going off at odd angles - I don't like them
- the tent looks a bit ungrounded - the poles go straight into the grass with no blend, there are no guy ropes
- also, the tent material looks a bit unlit - the top is almost the same colour as the back
All very minor though.
I do like
- the skeleton
- the grass texture
- the polished feel of the image

I think you can get the bimbo effect into the letter without resorting to a lot of text message shorthand and (c)rap spelling - the content and sentiment already express that quite nicely.
So Darth's translation is pretty good.
I'd like to know what she means about the letter being stolen. That's very unclear in all versions. If it's supposed to be a joke about how stupid the girl is it's a little overdone...
The joke about the "long letter" is perfect for me - it seems to have gone right over DM's head though. :=

Nice backgrounds...
I don't think you've quite captured the style of the characters - judging by the cover images on the NBM site - but good luck!

Looks lovely - nice solid graphics!
Are those animated rain splashes in the first screenshot? Mmmmm.
I hope there's a good reason for the object dropping - not just a limited inventory.
Looking forward to it (again)!

GetObjectTransparecy and GetCharacterTransparecy - You'd need those to make a cycle like an object or a character gradually appearing/disappearing etc
Well, strictly speaking you don't need these. You can just keep track of the current transparency in a variable. If you wanted to cycle the transparency you'd need to have a variable saying whether it was fading out or in anyway. And if you wanted to fade out or in at any speed other than a multiple of the game speed you'd need a variable storing the current transparency in a higher precision.

P.S. I know English isn't your first language, so I thought you might appreciate someone pointing out that transparency has two 'n's and explanatory has two 'a's.

Having that option in preferences sounds good. I agree that having two buttons would be confusing.

Good suggestion. I would like that too.

Farl, that depends.
Did you buy them with the understanding that they didn't work? If so, then you shouldn't pirate them.
If you bought them new, then you're good. Maybe not legally, but morally.

To protect old floppies, keep copying them. Or store them in a rarified nitrogen atmosphere at 12 centigrade.

I think you should stop at Peter Davidson. He was the last good doctor anyway. (Cue generational argument!)
Nice idea and nice sprites! Shame your Tom Baker looks like a paint over of Colin - that can't be right.
It's going to cost you a bunch to get Tom Baker in to do his voiceover. He's in great demand these days...
[EDIT] Ooh, ooh, daleks!

To put the functionality of the maths or flashlight plugins in the game itself, it would be much better (and easier for CJ) to write from scratch rather than poking around in someone else's code. The maths plugin particularly is just a wrapper to C functions.

As has been stated (GOTO 10) having little used functionality in plugins makes it easier to support and document AGS.

I'll be happy to supply the code to my plugins to anyone who wants to convert them into Linux plugins (and write a plugin manager for Linux!).

I'm hoping/guessing that AGS 3 will have floating point and maths functions.

Look around. You'll know when you have the right answer.

Pretty funny that Elianto praised Snarky for a useful post, then dragged the thread completely off topic...

Interesting game - great use of sound to build the tension, and I personally liked the timed sequence.
Spoiler
A bit of a nod to Mourier en Mer perhaps? "He's coming up the stairs!" Nicely done with the door thumping and the shadow in the doorway.

The graphics were also interesting - you managed to pull together (I'm guessing) a lot of source material into a semi-coherent style. The main character stood out like a sore thumb though!
Reading through Snarky's walkthrough, I have to agree with most of it.
Spoiler
I particularly disliked that the moose head was non-interactive until the pink lines were joined up. On the other hand, I did like the gods puzzle, but that's probably because I solved it without the book.

Thanks for the game!

kingsized, I don't think so - it's still in beta.

Fabulous picture Gilbert!
But it could use some explanation!
Who? What? Why?

Great minds think alike...
I did a huge mural of heels from head over heels a couple of years ago - I'll post a pic here later.
I bought coloured square post-it notes and put them on black cardboard. Took about a week to assemble and constant maintenance to keep it "alive".
Nice invader!

QuantumRich,
I hope you slipped in some nude scenes for Jessica Alba's character.
