Looks great!
Like the X-Files if made by Cinemaware.

Hints & Tips / Re: Posting comments

Does anyone have another solution for this?
I wanted to put some plugins up on the downloads page but it doesn't seem to stay logged in.
I log in forever, then click on the banner to go to the AGS main page, then navigate to download AGS, then plugins, then add game, and I get the *sigh* message. And reload doesn't work.
This could be preventing a lot of people from adding comments to the games too.

On another note, it's quite difficult to find the plugins download page, as you have to go through download AGS link.

Whoosh! There goes her character!

I prefer the first face in the top post, then the big eyes come second...

I'm guessing the one on the right.
Since it's (imo) the worst - the branches get all spindly too quickly, the bark looks more like a cross section of wood, and there's no foliage.
Umm, sorry if you wanted help on a different tree.

Also, I don't understand how that scroll is attached to the tree, unless it isn't and that's the central stick that it rolls up on.

I like how the trees have all got separate character, but you could make the right hand tree more like the big one in the middle.

It sure is Squinky-esque. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Look at that water colour!

Nice to see a new GUI down there too.

Seems to me if none of the entrants are willing to open source their game, the rules should change.
These guys made games that you presumably enjoyed. You'll just have to make your own open source game if you feel that strongly about it.

PS Sorry Minimi...
Must vote Coup de Cup...

[EDIT - While I liked Ralph, I thought the game was a bit simple, and the music didn't fit too well.]

It's Josh Beachcomber!

Good idea.
You could put "Will translate for food" in your signature in the meantime.

Edge have been doing that a lot recently with great old games.
The making of Fairlight was the last one I read.
Excellent stuff.
I'm hoping they're going to put them together in a coffee-table book.

This is an unusual way to go about making a game.
I find with games that people rarely know what they want, until you give it to them. Look at the most popular games here - they are very varied.
A game is more likely to get finished if it's coming from you, rather than attempting to fill some perceived market niche. And it's more likely to be good - you're unlikely to be comfortable writing and drawing to specification.

Of course if you're just looking for a lot of downloads, Maniac Mansion Deluxe had 70000 in a weekend. That should tell you something. (Ok, it was on TV.)

[EDIT - here's some answers then]
1. all 2. all 3. a 4. b 5. b 6. a 7. a/b 8. a 9. b 10. b 11. a 12. a/b 13. b 14. DOTT (today)

Huh.
Truth is stranger than fiction.
Although I'm not entirely sure I believe the scrap of paper part of the story. It's just a bit too neat.
Actually, the memorization part is quite impressive, given that there are 252 possible combinations.

For more mindless comic antics, you might want to check out Scott McCloud's 'Destroy!' - 32 unashamedly over-the-top pages of pure, pointless destruction: http://www.scottmccloud.com/store/books/destroy.html

Embarrassingly enough, I've got that at home too.
It's not very good, but it is HUGE!

I thought it was easy enough!

I seriously doubt Bill Gates
(a) wasted his time
(b) would have spent 3 hours getting the easy answer

There's a skip speech option in General Settings - set it to "can't skip".

I like to "click to skip" though, but like stuh505 I often miss dialog. I'd suggest an option where you can't skip for the first 0.5 seconds...

Ermmm... that's bloody brilliant.
The only think I'd say is that it looks a bit like a bathroom, not a kitchen, thanks to the walls, tiles, small sink, and small cupboards...

Did you see that sofa? I think he's sitting on it.

Still, nothing beats the Doom comic...

I have two copies of this at home - and it's not enough!

I hope you got the docs or you'll be Hopping, Clapping and Kweepa-ing for a long time!

Oh, and I'd just use good old DOS Frotz - there's something magical about playing the Infocom games full screen 80x25. Sigh.

And Razor was joking about Bern[h]ard's aftershave - to Bern[h]ard.
Seems a bit unfinished.

Actually Bernard jokes about Bernard's aftershave!

yeah but one of the characters can escape if there are at least two in the dungeon...

I saw that - thanks!

Well, it's a show about PC and console games. What did you expect?Ã,  ;)
I expected it to have a name I suppose...

Good jokes!
I think you might be better off cutting and pasting Doom sprites though.
