General Discussion / New Competition Idea
Sun 29/02/2004 02:34:54
Okay.. Well, obviously, the Enjoyable Writing Project failed..

So.. Why don't we try something similar. Instead of emailing a continuing story around.. Why don't we do something like MAGS..

Every Month, we could have a topic or idea given. Each contestant would have 25 days or so to write up a story that follows the main theme, idea, or topic given.

But I don't think voting should be taken, because it's a subjective thing in the first place..

What do you think?

I wouldn't mind running it, btw

Well.. If you're not a pirate, and you use mIRC.. Or if you just feel guilty.. There may be hope for you.

I, LGM, have found a Freeware alternative to mIRC that offers the same functionality and more.

Behold, BersIRC!

The freeware IRC Client!

It's awsome.. And sure beats pirating mIRC.

Well, not really.. I don't have a sister.

But anyone heard of this new movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?

I've seen the preview several times, and it looks so good!!! I know shattered knows about it.. But anyone else looking forward to this movie as much as I am? Charlie Kaufman is a genius!!!

Check it out, http://www.lacunainc.com/

General Discussion / Tremors 4
Sat 10/01/2004 05:50:41
Well.. No-one thought it could be possible, but they did indeed make another Tremors movie.. But contrary to popular belief, it's really not all that bad. IMO it's better than 2 and slightly better than 3.

I doubt it's out in other countries in US right now, but whoever has seen it, what are your opinions.. m0ds, how bought your expectations??

General Discussion / Send LGM to Germany
Fri 02/01/2004 06:28:11
That's right folks, I'm coming over to the good ol' country of Germany.

When, you ask? Well, at the end of May.

Why? I'm going with a school-sponsored organisation called GAPP.

Anyways, I'm saving up so I can go. It's gonna be ruffly 1,600 to 2,000 dollars dpending on ticket costs and conversion rates.

Please visit my little page I have set up for more information.

I need help with the money. I am working constantly, but I dunno if it's gonna be enough. So basically, I'm asking you to give me money ;)

So.. Enough said.. Go here:

General Discussion / Mirc Problems
Wed 12/11/2003 03:28:53
This has really been 'irc'ing me lately.. I CAN'T SIGN ON TO QUAKENET!

Everytime I try to sign on, I can't get past ident.. It stays there for a minute, then tells me my username is invalid.. And some BS about "If your email is foo@bar.net then your username woud be foo."

But here's the thing: I cannot find the username setting anywhere.. So it must be a server setting or something.. What's going on??

General Discussion / Phil Reed's new CD
Wed 22/10/2003 19:53:19
Yes, author turned Rock-Star! Phil Reed has compiled a demo CD of covers and his own original work.

Sad he hasn't posted here.. Or if he has, then I guess I'm really stupid..

But go have a listen.. At least you don't have to pay for it this time! :-p

http://www.phil-reed.com/demo.html

He's got some pretty good stuff on there, and I'm really impressed. Albeit the audio quality isn't studio quality, it's pretty good for a Mac. (Yes, Phil has abandoned the PC and gone to Mac.. So no more Vaels.)

Enjoy greatly, and post your comments here and I shall relay them to teh Phil.. Or he may come along.. Who knows..

Yes, I know last time I posted some of my work, it was bland and people said I lived in shithole USA or what have you.

Well, here's some pretty photography taken near my house.. Behold the awsomeness:

Heh.. I've been dabbling in some Visual Basic. I'm taking it as a class in High School.. Isn't that cool?

So, I've just compiled a bunch of cool little programs I've made along the way. I put some effort into the compilation so I figured I shouldn't let it go to waste and just exploit it on the forums..

Yippee..

Anyways.. be sure to read everything to avoid any confusion..

And email me if you like something or whatever.. I dunno.. I need some sort of feedback I don't care.. Meh.

And YES.. It's an installer.. I figured it's a nice touch. lol.

Bah.. Looks like my movie didn't work out so well... F*cking volunteer actors, never reliable.

Anyways, Vincent's Night is now a pile of garbage. Only 3 scenes shot.. And now I have only 4 actors left.. So we have decided to scrap the project and start anew..

So, I'm posting to hear your ideas so I can steal them for a big brain-storming session with all my AGS friends.

So.. Anyone got some ideas for me.. Basically, I'm looking for something I can film with 5 or less actors.. Something full length.. And that can be shot on a 0$ budget.

Anyone?

Well.. m0ds brought up a good point yesterday in IRC. If you were there, you'll know exactly what this is about.

It explains itself, so just go and read it! :p

I so would like to eat that apple..

I've really gotten into voice acting lately..

And luckily, I've found out how to get a real good sound... I think I should go into this as a little side-job.... Maybe make some money!

Whatdya think

Have a listen of a little tidbit from my vampire movie.. I'm not the one playing the character, but it's the only thing I could find to read into the mic..

Lemme know whatya think

I messed up the sampling.. So there's some hisses in the speech.... If I had of done it right, it would've sounded better

**This just in! I am now signed to play as Lieutenant Ronald Ganon & Admiral James Farrow in TerranRich's game "By the Sword: Conspiracy"

General Discussion / Bandwidth problems
Sun 08/06/2003 19:05:52
My bandwidth has sky-rocketed for some reason..

2.2 GB's this month.... I don't know why, either..

So I'm going to have to take down the AGS shows.. Sorry...

If someone else would like to host them.. Please do so... The exceeded bandwidth is reason for my downloads cutting off..

Sorry for the inconvienience..

(Also.. Ratracer.. If you could find a new host that would be appreciated)
#79
Well, me and my friend filmed this in one night.. I think it's funny, but others may think it's a waste of 8 minutes...

You decide!

(You need the Windows Media 9 Codec easily obtainable from www.microsoft.com or from regular windows updating)
