Did you notice that the pool table has just gone through the first break of a game of 9-ball, with balls 1 through 9 as well as the stone still on the table? :D I checked the ball colours so the match real ones.

Ok dude...you are officially a freak....a freak that I look up to!! So cool!

It's funny you would mention that, because Earthbound and Mother 3 were both big influences on this game in tone and style.

That my friend is EPIC!!!!!

I find it really, really odd with adventure games coming back that there hasn't been any talk over the license for Discworld games. Not even any attempt to remake Discworld II for iPad or anything like that. It's crazy!

If you're serious about the idea I can draw cartoon characters and know the books well but I'm not great at animation. I can do a little bit but it tends to look choppy.

Well like I said I would lend my voice to the game in a heart beat. I would certainly help out in any other way as far as story, dialogue and anything else not TOO specialized. Consider me part of the "team" if this becomes a reality.

Time to post new stuff. I just finished the basic views for the primary characters of the game, and since I posted many of them on my DeviantArt -page not long ago, I thought now would be a good time to share:

Finally got around to checking out this thread Wham...it looks like a really cool game. I'm gonna download the demo and try it. How's it coming along?

Entering the final day of voting and I think WHAM's about to run away with it!

Maybe we'll get some last minute voters. Thanks for going over to the Voice Acting thread and voting Eric!

Here's a piece of music from my concept score which is a test - the first time I've tried to emulate sounds of LucasArts days gone by, using the OPL-3 FM 128M soundfont. It was actually a way old AGS thread that led me to this soundfont. Woot!

I like this piece a lot....it actually reminds me of one of my all-time favorite RPG's Earthbound (Mother 2) for SNES. Thanks for sharing!

I say the next turn after we put on the oxygen mask is to look in locker #1.

+1 to that in advance. Sucks being in the US and having to wait for all the Brits to wake up to play!! ;)

Yeah, that's true, it's actually the first adv. game I ever played as a kid, so there are a lot of memories there,, absolutely :)

+1

Definitely one of the first I played all the way through (I think I had played a few before it but was too young to be able to complete it). It was a toughy though, I think I ended up calling a hint hotline (or paying for the UHS)!

I'll cast my vote for the Giant too.  If TellTale Games ever need a stand-in Guybrush, he's ready!

Thanks Cpt!

Last day to vote if anyone else is gonna chip in! Come on, even all you graphic artists can judge! :)

> Examine control panel and pamphlets

You walk up to the PANEL to examine it. As you approach you stub your toe on a LOCKER door, which protrudes from the console to your left. You mutter a curse and examine the PANEL on the wall. According to the small text on the top, it appears to be a simplified cross-section of the "EUF-02 Main Facility", with different rooms separated into segments and each room having one or more colour coded LED -lights poking out of it, along with numeric and alphabetical codes to identify their purpose. The PANEL appears to be unpowered and lifeless.

You turn your attention to the FOLDER attached to the wall near the panel, next to the wall-mounted RADIO. The papers appear to contain vast lists of codes roughly corresponding with the lights on the nearby PANEL. The codes appear to correspond to different types of problem situations, such as "FIRE", "FLOO", "ATMO", "BIO" and "MANU".

Wondering if we can use these codes to control the atmospheric conditions somehow... ATMO would be the most appropriate I think.

Discworld

Holy shit Cyrus, I was JUST coming on here to say Discworld. That was one of my all-time favorite series! Maybe we can get one going and get Eric Idle to voice it again. It's funny because my brother and I are the only two people I know who ever played it (and loved it) but I'm in Arizona. I'm assuming it was much more popular in the UK by most of you guys.

I also have alcohol visible in my bg. I bet Eric would have added that in later as well? ;)

I have alcohol visible in my foreground! Well, maybe it's a glass of sweet ice tea. Depends on who's asking.

EDIT: Or...maybe it's a bucket of sweet ice tea. Should have made that lemon wedge larger!

First thing I thought was Whiskey so....I guess ya'll hit the time period on the head!

Lol, it's being worked on about 10 hours a day. I'm a self-employed graphic designer by trade and keep putting the bloody game before any of my work...it's not good lol.

haha I can see how that could be a problem. I've offered my services to you and I keep that open. If you need assistance with other areas, let me know (testing? story? anything not too specialized other than voice).

My first attempt, I've never really done this sort of work before but what the heck! I'm sure you all can recognize what my picture closely resembles :)

I wasn't aware there was a prohibition in effect in England/Scotland in the twenties... Didn't find anything about it with a quick googling either, so I think I'm safe. ;)

Yea, I was going off of the description of the thread "principally in American cities, but also in Berlin and Paris". I thought to myself he could certainly be in Europe too. Either way, he wouldn't be the first person to openly disregard the "laws" of the time anyway.

Idea: WHAM. Who is this Lord Wilcox, and why's he got such a fancy liquor cabinet? I NEED TO KNOW.

Ah, Eric, I think you need to play He Watches when it comes out. ;)

Yea, isn't this around the time of prohibition?? Shouldn't it be a liquor cabinet disguised as a bookcase or something? :)

I'm 31...Usually I qould be out in the garden, perhaps having a few beers. But now? No. I'd rather sit inside watching TV...

I am ALSO 31 (off topic I know)! However I've never been much of an outdoorsy type. I'd probably still be inside anyway lol
