Wham, I played the demo the other night and I got to say, as a veteran Adventure Gamer (I may not have been in the forums long, but I've played them since before I could walk) this is well worth a commercial release AND worth the money to buy it. There is such attention to detail in the game from the backgrounds to the music and the overlaying mist/fog, it's all really well done. My only wish is that it had voice acting...but I'm somewhat partial for personal reasons (hint hint, nudge nudge...PM me when auditioning  (laugh) ). Otherwise I am excited as a fan AND excited to see you succeed! Congrats!

"Proboscis Major" made me chuckle.  Good luck on development.

Thanks KC!

Though it's not going to be in the demo (which we will hopefully release next week - it's mostly done but needs a few tweaks and a but of bug-testing before we unleash it on an unsuspecting public) - I've been playing around with transporter graphics.  This isn't final (and we may have got a new background artist, who might tidy up my amateurish work at some stage!)   The end few frames of this animation aren't right, but I'm pretty happy with the rest of it.

Oh yea, I like the transporter animations!! I feel like I'm suffocating just watching them haha

Still got three more days, right? I'll have something in by then.

Good to hear, yes there is still more time...I'd like to see more entries before the voting starts but we can always extend if needed. Looking forward to yours Eric.

Here's my entry.

(Sorry, couldn't get rid of all the pops and crackles.)

LOL Looks like you might win by default anyway CaptainD, no one else entering! Maybe I will extend it...?

Any chance on getting a silver and bronze version of these trophies :)

I just noticed he's missing the frazzled grey hair.  Ah well he's cliché scientist enough otherwise :)

Tee-hee I love these!! Too bad no one made trophies for the last one that I won (looks at Sane Co. with an evil eye)!! ;)

Just a slight tweak on a trophy used for a writing contest and...we have a mad scientist holding a golden mic.

KConan, YESS!! Thanks so much for the Trophy! Good man, good man. Any chance on getting a silver and bronze version of these trophies :)

Ha, ha, ha â€" a human heart would have been a strange instrument.  (laugh)

It's a bagpipe - but hard to see in the original size. That's the reason why I made it zoomable. ;)

I took this and similar ones as a reference.

Well I'd still like to see someone blow into a human heart and see what kind if music they can make. ;)

Wow impressive, adding this to my "must play" list!

This competition's theme this time is "Mad Scientist". Make up your own dialogue and say a line or two if what your interpretation of a mad scientist would say. No real restrictions so use your imagination!

Examples of lines:

"Bwahahaha, I've done it! I finally completed my shrink ray! Now I can reenact scenes from "Honey I Shrunk The Kids", my life long dream is fulfilled!"

Trophies provided by KConan (thanks!)
1st Place - Gold Mic

2nd Place - Silver Mic

3rd Place - Old wooden bullhorn

Please, when voting, don't judge on microphone quality.

Jakey, wow really well done...I like it a lot!

Tabata lol really cool. It looks like a different kind of organ...a human kind!

Hmm...something tells me people think this is a simple "Space Quest" rip-off and aren't paying attention to it. ALERT! This is NOT a Space Quest rip-off, it is very unique, original and funny (not to mention well voiced) ;)!

I guess we will just have to wait until there is a demo released to prove it!

Congrats to LTGiants! I didn't have time to record anything for this one, maybe the next one.  ;)

Thanks! I've got the Phoenix Comic Con this weekend so I may not be able to post a new one till Sunday (USA) or so. Thanks Sane, it was fun!

Huzzah! My first win in the BG Blitz!  8-) Am I cool now?
I'll take this evening to think up a good theme and will post the new thread tomorrow when I wake up (I won't say morning, though).

Congrats!!

I hope it does! I'd suggest using an art style similar to Discworld II, it can be either an original story or an adaptation of one of Pratchett's novels.

Cyrus, where would the appropriate place be in the forums be to start a "pre-recruitment" thread to see who is interested in taking part in this? At least we could gauge how serious people would be and whether or not its worth the time and effort.
