A small post to let know any Kojima Fan that The Policenauts translation project is over and the english patch is released.

For people who don't know what I'm talking about it's a game by the same guy who made Snatcher.

For people who still don't know what I'm talking about, you're seriously missing the 2 bestest J-Adventure games ever released by mankind.

Scorpion Swamp : Explore the swamp, draw the map, the boom take your path in account (This is clearing number 22. If you have been here go to the 123), and three different quests to choose. That was one of the best.

My favourite serie was still the Mystery Squad, but to tell the thruth the books were more like child novels with some question to know if you follow the story and observations puzzles. Too bad, 2 of them never get released in North America. (My soul to grab one)

QuoteWhen I boot in Safe-Mode everything I listed above is the same except I can use the mouse.
The point is here.

There's something else. Mouse drivers don't vanish mysteriously. And it's not material. I'll try to scann the computer for viruses and Registry problems. Bad news : you're on Win98.

Try (re) installing : Win98 UltimePack (Kind of free Uber ServicePack created after the fall of W98), and check if you can use CCleaner (Be careful say YES to backup). There's old version of AVG on the net.

Good Luck.
(SNES rocks) :D

*Bumps*

After a rainny summer, I finally complete the rebuilting of the game using a different set of Variables / and a different layout using speeches at the top of the screen like the original.

OMG
Scarlett and Snake Eyes were ok. The rest need to get trash.

Storm Shadow looked like a kid on a cheap haloween costume, Baroness had no charisma whatsoever and, in fact the whole movie lacks of a good Gung Ho / Wild Bill / Shipwreck / Clutch. And no, Ripcord did'nt do the job.

I shed a tear when Scarlett shown up with her crossbow, but the rest of the flick is amazingly bad. They didn't even care about putting a little USS Flag or even just one or two classical vehicules.

QuoteThe Outer Limits? Only type thing I can think of.

Nope :(. The 1960's version is too old, the 1990's version is too new.
The show were in color, but the brownish broadcasting of the 70's / 80's.

EDIT :
QuoteI know Hammer Film made movies based on the old Tales From The Cript comics, maybe that's what you are looking for.
Nope :( Even scary, the show were sci-fi based.

Like :
- "here we created the most powerfull computer ever made by mankind"
-"What time is it?"
-"Ask him"
- "it's 12:30 15 seconds and 1/10 eee no it's 12:30 15 seconds and 2/10 eee no it'S...."
(The computer explode)

General Discussion / Help me find that show.
Thu 06/08/2009 17:43:33
Hey guys!
(Wow, I started more thread in 3 weeks than in 3 years)

Ok, I'm looking for the name of an Sci-Fi show
*From the 70's or early 80's.
*Probably from England.  (dunno I watched it in french - can't find any clue from French-CBC archives)
*Looks a lot like the 4th dimension / twilight zones but it was sci-fi.
*Bad endings,
*Small stories up to 3 by episodes
*30  minutes broadcast.

*Known as Temps X (Time X) in french but it's not the tech Show from France with the same name.

Anyone have a clue?

Vince, just get out of there and move North. You'll have 100% public system, a better life span for you and your family, and way cheaper (if not 100% free) medication precisely because  the governement makes more regulations.

But I warn you : it's fucking freezing during the winter.

Good luck with your paper VirtualPsycho.

Please send us /me a copy. (It will be much appreciated).

Thanks everybody.

I'll give a Try to The Wire, BurntNotice and the new Fillion.
(I have to confess I just watched 1 Episode of Doctor Who in my whole life, I should seriously give a try to this one too)

@Anian, Matti and others : Yeah, don't worry, I'm already a Simpsons Fan. :D For Futurama and South Park it's at small dose when I do have a crave for this kind of humour.

@One Dollar : Yeah I watched and enjoyed Firefly. Very light but interesting on how they created a Sci-Fi Western.
(I'm also in love with Inara but that's another topic.)

@Snarky: After some seasons Monk stopped to be a Detective Story. The original character loose half of his abilities and start discovering clues/solutions by pure luck. In most of the case, the investigation became more a pretext for displaying Monk in Ackward situations. (That's why I abuse of  the keyword "Porn")
