Same as Zabnat and Zooty: AVOID ACER AT ANY COST.

- My power cord is actually fixed to my motherboard with Krazy Glue, cuz' there's no other way to fix it.

- My fan make Harley Davidson owners jealous

- I can roast toasts on my CPU and on my north bridge in the morning.

- The space bar and F10 key are Missing in Action since 1 year. I just hitted them and a sesame seeds underneath make them broke.

- My battery didin't last more than 10 minutes cuz all the machine is pumping way too much power.

Acer is just too bad.

Here's one of the 5-6 reasons why I should buy a DS.
That's looking awesome. I just love those J-Adventures.

Strange problem indeed. The fact that it happens on 2 differetnts OS make me really suspicious of the presence of a Virus.

But you told us it's not the case...  strange.

Is there anything else? I means : some soft refusing to start or some program closing alone?
(in that case that's hard disk bug)

Personnally I'll try 2-3 others antivirus (AVG - Avast - Antivir) run from the 'no failure mode' (F8 while booting).

Good luck.
If I find something else, I'll post it.

I do believe on the rewards-per-click ratio.

Having common puzzles, cliche puzzles and very easy puzzles once in a while is the best way to make your player feel that the game is logical, trustable and realistic. It's also a good alternative for extra-long cutscenes who end up to be as cliche as the above puzzles.

USE blue cardkey ON blue door.
- This is not a real puzzle anyway, it's just a cool way to make the player understand that his faith is above the blue door and make him/her feel intelligent.

Some news wrote about an unknown group of egyptian hackers.

Some others talk of  human error.

Personaly I'm sure it's Microsoft fault. When it's not solar eruptions, it's always MS fault.

It's not true.

I just googled 'Mullet' and received 323 000+ image results.

@StrangeVisitor : I think RetroJay was more in a mood to chat about those shows than looking for It's Wiki link. :D

Sad, I don't recall anything like those :(

While we're there, anyone can find me the name of that british show set in an haunted mansion where the characters were ghosts? I guess it was a comedy but I was too young to not be frightened by the weird historical character.

That's what I call great  Background graphic at 320x200!!

And your palette is perfect for an adventure game : Everything blends well. And it will avoid pixel hunting.

I'm definitively looking foward this game.

'Cable select' just means that The HD will be Master or slave accordingly to is position on the IDE cable.

Knowing that :

1- Check your jumpers again. Maybe your master need a jumper or you putted it into 'master with no slave' or something else. (EDIT: Avoid putting the master on the lower position of the cable, some motherboard hates  that)

2- Re-start your computer- Access the Bios and check if it recognizes your drive. if not re-run self detect (or whatever it's called in your bios utility) 2-3times.

3- If you have your XP cds - You can try to repair your old one. Take care not to format it.

4- As usual : try accessing your XP HDD with a Linux OS. No need to install just run it from the cd. Then save your data if he see the drive.

Good luck.
