I'm sorry, but for someone who spends much of his time studying how the rediculous short term profit making mentality of the late 80's and early 90s is largely to blame for the 15 year stagnation in the Japanese economy, this is hilarious. Long term thinking doesn't create speculative bubbles, let alone massive real estate and stock market bubbles at the same time, let alone the [then] largest stock bubble and a real estate bubble that values land in Tokyo as more than the entire land mass of the United States.
And it's only 9 years since short term thinking in most of the rest of East Asia pulled the region into crisis.
