Sierra seems to draw great contrasts between the fantastic stories (gk series), the capable but unmememorable (Operation Iceman) to King's Quest, which is acceptable in context only.

The caddies have one of the most awesome horn section ever.

But then the rest seems uninteresting.

But the horns are ace!

And Frenzal split up (they kicked off their bass player) and since Shihad became Pacifier for the American market, Frenzal became Shihad, and immedietly scored another American contract.



Reel Big Fish have a nice catchy song, they just release every few months again.

That may also be why a few more Sierra games have slipped through the cracks of history than LEC ones.

Sierra definately had talented people, its a pity they kept putting them in tired franchises

If we compare the early 90's we might get something.

Both were at a high point.

LEC did get alot more polish on the games, if only for the fact the games were cleanly coded, which made Sierra games seem a bit buggy (of course Sierra could make themselves seeem buggy) and they didn't do silly things like use the CPU as a timer instead of the clock.

But you generally like what you grew up with.(Though I prefer LEC when I grew up with KQ2 and Mixed up mother goose)

FOA is the only post Loom/MI LEC adventure when you can die.


LEC also put alot more emphasis on dialogue and character over action. Sierra only really did this in the GK games and to a degree in the Laura Bow games.

I meant funny in terms of what they are, not what they write.


The fact they have immense amounts of talent, but write songs that often sound meanigful, but have relatively nonsense lyrics.
Like Stormy Pinkness, or Road Movie To Berlin.

They do have lyrics that mean something occasionally.

Pesty-Aquabats? Wierd Al? TMBG?

Timosity-Even with some of the ones they've heard of, the list may prove informative. It's amazing to know how many people think ACDC are American. And rest assured one person here know's the Porkers.

Along with PDA, I rank RLBAT as having the best msuic and story, as well as being the funniest game I've played ever.


But some might find the graphics off putting.

Although, in classic Yahtzee style the backgrounds leave something to be desired (And he says he prefers to concetrate on narrative and puzzles), the character art is superb for the feeling he's trying to create.

And the humour is more restrained. Before it could get annoying in a Douglas Adams, Discworld games kind of way.

Osiris-You came too late sorry. Ghormak beat you to the punch with a very similair analogy where he rewrote the intro to the Movie.

I'd like to say that all we said about Yahtzee in the other thread also applies to you Jeremie.

He wasn't a very secure person, and I don't think he had much in Real Life to make him feel good about himself.

For a bit in the Amateur community he could be a big shot, but when rivalry came in, he tended to overcriticize it to protect his position. He drove Phil away like that.

And when everyone was talking about Rode kill, or Permanent Daylight, he left, because "The scene was getting him down", he wasn't numero uno anymore.

It's a sad story.

Putting your real name there won't help if they search for Morehead, or the other mispellings

Better yet, just call yourself Booashay.

It's like Booyakashah, except more Polish.
