Fans are the worst enemy of anything with....well, a fanbase.

It's a signal that serves a very important societical purpose. It helps tell those that can use the language who the absolute idiots are. Subsequently we can condescend to them like the fools that they are.

Man, I went to the bookshop and realised that all the publishers were only printing books so they could sell them and try to make money. Horrified at this CRASS COMMERICIALISM I went to the cinema, only to see more CAPITALIST motivated films. So I bought a CD, which was nothing but a RENT SEEKING exercise by a studio that wasn't altruistically distributing music at all!

So I decided to read fan fiction on the internet, listen to garage bands on Myspace and watch home videos on youtube. All else is MONEY GRUBBING.

I'd prefer it if they weren't trying so hard to be Died On A Sunday.

I can't see this film working without Orson Welles.
#46
How is that possible? He's in every film Ben Stiller or Kevin Bacon isn't in.

It can happen in just a few months. Vanilla Ice was actually popular once.

I've only ever used the term "graphic novel" [which I think is a clunky term] to refer to a comic that's created with a finite length, even if it was originally published as a miniseries, just to distiguish it from other comic forms like the endless serials [which are most common] or strips.

But yeah, it is a unnecessary attempt to avoid a stigma which only comes from the foolish. People in the 17th century would have looked at Shakespere and said "Culture on the stage, how gauche, I far prefer those Florinitinian paintings".
Photography would never be a match for the painter's work, so cold, without heart!
Then in the early 20th century, film was obviously a low and cultureless alternative to theatre, right? No decent art would ever come from theatre.

But history has a way of making snobs look like idiots, that's of course if it isn't already painfully obvious.

If you're really concerned, some people here have emailed Sierra, or whatever conglomerate it is now, and asked for permission to get copies in some form on the basis of a prior purchase.

Not that anything would come from the action anyway.

Lovecraft wrote stories using only words, this has moving images as well! Ergo, NOT LOVECRAFTIAN! My consumer media weary cynicism makes be better than you!

I'm fond of Burton, so I'd be happy if this happens, especially after returning Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to what it should be after that earlier turd of a film.

I also expect Blackthorne to chime in with how much he adores Burton.

--edit--
Also, the Department of Death is a tad similar to the bureaucracy in Beetlejuice.

For the benefit of others, the claim regarding the word terrorist came from a Paris based anti-racism group, and speculation from the french team [i.e, people within several hundred kilometres of the incident] relates to Zidane's family. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2006/teams/france/5164094.stm

I think Zidane will stay quiet, if he does reveal what was said, it's only going to mkae him look more thin skinned, perhaps in his early 30s he can join that large part of humanity that learnt to ignore verbal bullying [and sap it of it's strength] when we were 10 years old.

Kahn won it in '02 and Ronaldo in '98, so I can only assume the golden ball is awarded to people who fuck up in the final.

The fact that the third film has already been filmed pretty much guaranteed its existence...

Barthez was inexplicably whacky as usual, which is why I enjoy watching him play.

The more Italy beats these teams, the more we can claim we would have gone far but for lady luck. So I'm happy.

Video refs simply take longer to make the wrong decision with less excuse for doing so. League should get rid of them, and football shouldn't consider them.
