AGS Games in Production / Re: Karl's Game

Hey Karl, if you are CJ's janitor, then how do you clean his stuff up if you are in Arkansas, and he is in England?

And Webspider, how about you work on one of your 50,000 games instead of spamming these forums up.

You should make the lines under his boobs a bit smoother. The dark line just stops, it looks a bit silly. Make them go a bit further but in a lighter shade of colour. same goes for the navel.

This game looks fantastic!

I wish i could do EGA style that good!

Now why are people paying attention to webspider, and not games like this which has a chance in hell of actually seeing the light of day. And using original graphics.

Keep it up and finish it!!!

Pirate Jack:Ã,  English is not my native language, but I think it's spelt "grammar..." and I don't think "critique" is a verb either...
(sorry, please don't take it personally, but I couldn't resist... ;D ;D)

I'm Australian, we spell some words differently... or something... :p

I was more annoyed you used m8s instead of mates. And that your keyboard was lacking a period key and your spacebar doesnt seem to work.

Lay, you are mean and an idiot.

I'll admit to being mean, and perhaps somewhat an idiot... but it was late at night, and i tried bed_room1.gif, Bed_Room.gif and bed_room.gif, I just never tried Bed_Room1.gif, which it apparantly was! So sue me i was tired at the time.

Still I had a valid point.

Are you attracted to guy's wearing animal costumes??? Are you a closet or a proud furry?

ugh...

That sprite is very well constructed, but the subject matter is a bit offputting...

There is a sticky thread that tells you where you can upload it to.

Now if you can't figure that out... leave the internet and never return.

I have three points to contribute. Here they are.

1) Learn to spell

2) Learn to use grammer.

3) What are you asking people to critique, this here being the 'critics lounge'.

The end.

Don't worry there is only about a .0001% chance of him actually doing it...

Like how many announcements of games do we have here and how many get finished...

I'm gunna post this even though it's too late...

Damn you Dgmacphee!!1!!!

#1053
Largo, i wouldnt call that a sprite, it's just a capture of the delorian from back to the future with drawing around it... the perspective isnt even right.

do you walk side on to the camera in real life???

Looks a bit silly doesn't it. and arms need to move.

Give him some life!!!

The walls are a bit annoying. I mean, they are empty. There is no wear and tear on them! Wear and tear is important. you might want to put a mirror on one of the walls, as well as the camera.

And what ever you do, don't use the photoshop lighting filter (looking at clueless!!!)!!!

I like darths camera. it shows depth.

How about not doing a grim fandango 2!!!

The game had a solid ending... no need for a sequel.

Unless you were to make a spin off.

Which would be alright.

Comedy gold! It's people like me who start a great idea (which i stole from a thread 4 years ago) and then everyone wants to join in on the action (after i referred this thread to them all on irc...)

I love it.

Evil dead 2.

Who framed Robert redford contained a whole section dedicated to a lovable character created by the Lord SCID.

And...

Rodekill had a traffic cop who beared an uncanny resemblance to Larry Vales.

So it's not a new idea. But it's still fun.

I wouldn't say it's impossible, but I'm not sure it's worth it, considering most people are happy with 2d, and AGS is designed for Classic adventure game styles.Ã,  I do think 3d hardware accelerated 2d graphics is a good idea for AGS though.

Would you not consider Grim Fandango to be a classic adventure game? Because quite frankly I would. It is one of the greatest examples of how adventure games are done RIGHT.

Even trying to create the atmosphere in Grim in a 2d game would require a hell of alot more effort to the character animation and scripting of the game.
