If you think the Bytejacker episode was cool, then watch this.

Hi guys

http://www.bytejacker.com/episodes/rapidfire/11172008

This is the first of 2 episodes to feature well known AGS game designers Grundy Dave and Ivy. I was there for the filming, and let me tell you part 2 is going to be awesome!

Anthony Carboni treated us all very well and even though he is unfamiliar with the AGS scene, I'm sure after this he will be following it a bit closer.

Watch it!

Me and Francisco met one of the distributors of the fake NY Times. Pretty impressive stuff, we got a couple of copies of it. It's a really great read, and there was loads of work put into the articles.

Consider me for voice acting. I can do English, French, American, Irish and Australian accents. You will not be disappointed.

If you'd like to send me some sample dialogue and a little profile on the character, I'll get you a voice test.

:)

To be honest, it looks totally unfinished. Who is this guy? What is he supposed to look like.

Oh and get rid of the double pixels on the outlines would be a START (double pixels are where there are 2 pixels next to each other. On the arms mainly.

I'd suggest you to take more time, and look at other videogame sprites. It's how we all learned.

Okay. Sorry about the double outlines, I re sized the dude. Al so he means nothing. Just a dude with his shirt off lol, abit fat.

You obviously don't understand what I mean. I know you resized the image. I'm not f**king stupid. I meant the fact you have 2 pixels next to each other on the original sized image. faux pas for pixel art.

Well Mark, in May this year I paid £279 for a return flight to New York and £200 for a return to Miami, so with it being a more expensive season, I'd guess about £400-450.

I feel like a cheap play-thing. :(

But yes, some bars you can smoke in in Florida. Just not Irish Times. The smoke makes Seamus cough. Poor Seamus.

Get a job you bum!

Why don't you ask for royalties from commercial AGS games. Write it into the contract! 10% of every sale!

Take that entreprenurial game makers!

I do not drink. I have been to 3 Mittens. They have been some of the best times I've had as an adult.

CASE: CLOSED

Nacho violated you as well? I thought I was the only one!

Hi, I'm Layabout. I am making a game and require a coder, as I have a complete inability to get to grips with AGS Scripting.

Backgrounds are about 20% done. Most are thumbnailed though, so are usuable as placeholder backgrounds.

Story is about 50% complete. I really only need to write witty hilarious dialog. The plot itself is complete.

Character art is really the only area that needs priority attention. I have a few done, but I really need to knuckle down on my pixelling. Once again, placeholder sprites can be used.

I will be looking for a musician, but I have a few contacts I'll probably be calling on anyway. If you feel you can produce a jazzy/french title track, please don't hesitate to PM me and give me a sample of your work.

Please only serious applicants required for the coder position. PM me if you think you are up for the job. In return, I'll send you the plot outline and some of the sample art.

Grundislav, don't apply, you have to make BJ8.

If anyone out there thinks they can do a good French accent, please send me a sample, there are a few characters I still need to cast.

This game keeps getting better and better. I'm glad that your finally getter more funding for your work by working on projects for Playfirst.

He spent it all on prostitutes and champagne.

Anyone who looks under 25 should be ID checked. If it doesn't look like him in some fashion, it's entirely feasable they will reject entry. It could have been his brothers passport, or a friends. Personally, I'd never take a passport as ID, a driving license or a PASS card is sufficient. Pubs only bar entry to protect their asses. If I were found to be serving a person under age, the pub would be fined £5000 and I would be fined £2500. (or somewhere around that figure) I personally don't want that, and no licensee does.

Passports are never full proof of ID. Until we have mandatory fingerprint scanners at the door to a drinking establishment, there is never a sure-fire way of knowing the person is who they say they are.

Did you know that if you walk into a pub, the bartender, landlord is in his full rights to reject serving you for whatever reason. This is a pretty pointless post. I've been rejected at the door, becuase it was raining and I was too wet to come in, I've been rejected for resembling someone who had been kicked out the same night.

Been denied service at a pub or club happens to loads of people, innocent or nit. Get over it really.

By the way, you are barred from my pub. I don't like your attitude.

It is very easy in the UK to get around the redundancy laws. You just need to re-name the position and bam, your job is made redundant and a new job is created... Just with a different title.

To be fired, a reason isn't required if you have been in the job for less than 2 years, unless you believe it was on the grounds of a statutory right, of which you have to prove, provided approprate notice is given, or payment is made in lieu of notice, or you are granted 'garden leave', which is a period of paid holiday, outside of your original statutory holiday pay rights.

I read alot into the employment laws, as I've had similar situations before.

Hope it helps.

There is a lot of information of the Department of Trade and Industry website (whoops, its now the Berr, not to be confused with my favourite beverage :P ) http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/employment/index.html

Directgov is also a good source of information http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/index.htm

I was working as an Estate Agent a year ago. When Northern Rock collapse, faith in the housing market died, the mortgage market froze up completely. I left in October 2007, because simply people couldn't get Mortgages anymore without a 25% deposit and a better credit rating than god.

Maybe a new Gorthor of the Cave People is in order... Or not. I have waaay too much on my plate right now!
