I will, without a doubt, attend as I've already told Francisco.

A large number see convinced that, bring in Miami, it will be Boozittens. I assure you, having been to Miami with Francisco, this probably won't be the case. Although I am definately one for exploring different bars and having a good time with people I like, it will not be a case of spending every night in bars. I enjoyed hanging out at le chateau drinking wine and chatting random bollocks with great people, one thing we didn't have in espana, since we had no common room, a thing we did have in France, and hopefully will have in Miami.

And the fact everything is so far apart in Miami will mean we will either have to drive to bars and have a designated driver, or get taxi's to and from, the cost of which I don't know.

And personally, I am not bothered if we have a beach nearby or not. It seems people want to recreate their favourite Mittens moments. I personally want to have new and exciting things, even if I have been to Miami before.

We must visit Simon and Seamus at the Irish Times though. To be sure.

For a similar kind of game to the Gk series, try the Ben Jordan series. For a fun witty game, try spooks, and then play nanobots. Play nelly cootalot. Also, I'd highly recommend playing all of Dave Gilberts games. Oh, you must play ace quest!

Haha, Glumol has been in development forever and was supposed to be the Adventure engine to destroy all other adventure engines.

I wouldn't even look at it personally.

As for wintermute, the only thing that interests me in that project is the 3d characters. But it doesn't interest me that much to be honest.

I haven't played it yet, I'm dlding now. I must say I really like the character style you have gone with. But I too have issue with the black outlines. They really do stand out, Well in the screenshot anyway. I will you know my overall opinions when I play the demo.

Seriously aren't we past the point of having 20 (exaggeration) different ways to interact in an adventure game?

The simple interface has worked for so many present adv games, why not assimilate to the future?

Critics' Lounge / Re: Animating A Ghost

Don't just animate the bobbing up and down, which should be gradual and slow down as he reaches the top and bottom of his bobbing. Animate the flails of his ghostly form at the bottom! Make them move as if being collided with a slight breeze!

I'd love another Rode Kill game. Let's hope shawn reads our hypnotic posts and makes us another Rode Kill game. Yeah, that would be nice...

On topic, the best thing to do is not announce games until they are pretty much ready, that way, you don't have people saying oh why isn't (this title) finished yet, when is it coming out...

Don't post, and don't disappoint. :)

I must say it is somewhat daring to draw the Evil Queen like that. ;D

Ivy is now in Guantanamo Bay. She suffers for her art.

There are some things in France, we do not talk about...

He looks like a gay pride Superhero.

And now reading the wired blog about it, I'm even more scared.

Quite enjoyable game. Thank you. And original too. Sure I like it, but imo, the main female protagonist should put some more effort into it. Like it's now, her voice doesn't sound well at all. I know its meant to be, like she didn't care and like she's not impressed etc, but next time - try to do it better.

Don't disrespect the Author. She has powerful friends.

I'll do voice acting for this only if I'm credited as Johnny Longcock. I don't want my real name on such filth!

There is a little program called Sierra Viewer (I think, it's just sv.exe) which allows you to view all the resource files from pretty much every sierra adventure game. It works with GK1, so I assume it should work with PQ4 since they were both released in 1993.

Sorry I don't know the URL, I downloaded the program ages ago.

Spoiler

* The guy smoking outside Bianchi's house says "au revoir", which is French. Is he supposed to be Italian? Does he think that Ben is French? An Italian would have said "ciao", "arriverderci" or "buongiorno".

Based on the commentary track, I would say it seems as if

this guy is French. Grundislav mentions that he's French, I think his accent is supposed to be French (but I wouldn't know, I can't tell the difference between a Texan accent and a Czech), and the guy even talks about how he moved to Rome for love. I thought he was Italian too until I heard the commentary track, but it seems pretty obvious that he's supposed to be French.

I did the voice. He was a Frenchman who moved to Italy for love. Sorry if the accent wasn't ridiculously over the top, but I kept it quite modest.

Layabout was great to watch (maybe you should start cleaning tables near hollywood and see what happens?)

You flatter me to no end. Thanks so much for the kind words!
