The shadows on the wall and floor have aa, whilst the rest of the bg does not. It's not consistant, but easily fixed if you are using layers.

Yesp, his head is too far to the left. To be honest to me it still looks rushed, and I know I could do better.

Working in a pub I have had experiences with many types of Drinkers. There is no way one could define a person by how much they drink or how many days a week they drink or if they drink in a social environment by themselves or with friends as an alcoholic.

The way I see it is that if you are drunk every waking hour you have an alcohol problem.

If you crave alcohol, you might be depressed, or you might be an alcoholic. (self-medicating)

If you drink on your own, you might be depressed because you have no friends, you might like your own company more than others, or you might be an alcoholic.

If you binge drink you are either between 15-30 years old or you are depressed or you might be an alcoholic.

If you drink at home on your own, there is no problem, every likes a quiet drink. Or you might be an alcohlic.

There is no real definition of what an alcoholic is. I guess if you choose to drink an alcoholic beverage you aren't. If you have no self-control, then you are.

I don't really see binge drinking as an issue. If we all followed the recommended drinking allowance, no one would bother drinking!

Drinking is a poison yes. But it has been around for thousands of years.

Oh, and one thing I'd like to point out. DO THE AA think they are better than JESUS. He was a bit of a wino. He could turn water into the stuff, and not through a long fermentation period using grapes!

The AA should remove all references to jesus and religion out of their texts to give impartial advice, not biased by the lies of god. Even though Jesus could turn water into wine. Which is a neat trick.

His right arm needs attention, but it's just supposed to be hanging there rather limp, it is not his 'strong' arm.

Basically I see a few problems with him. The first is his feet. at least one needs to be on the ground at all times. If you are going to use slight perspective Draw a 'touching' line for each of his feet.

Secondly. He is far too Static. His feet do not arch when his is lifting off from the ground. His shoulders and upper body are static. His arms are funny shaped as well. No defined elbow. the best way to do this is make sure you are using a stickman with balls (for joints you sicko!!) to define his movements.

There is little wrong with the leg movements, although he could move his hips a little more.

The human body is a balancing act in theory, left arm and shoulders counteract the right leg and hips etc.

Ooh, yeah perspective is out, which others have mentioned.

And he is not centre. Stickmen will fix this.

As for the second, the arms are wacky. Too thin are the forearms and the upper arm is far too short.

As for height the same, its a bad idea, since when both feet/legs are outstreched, the height is reduced...

Actually, 5 rules are excessive, and personally I do understand loominous' questioning. Most people will still submit 320x2xx art, so it seems somewhat unfair to impose such a restriction limiting those who prefer to dabble in the higher resolutions.

It seems to me you are trying to restrict the 'better' artists from entering this 'mockup', which is undoubtably unfair. After all, it's not just about the art, its the concept and the visualisation that plays a part in these contests. And it is all a bit of fun.

Why restrict those who prefer the higher pixels?

I know with things like sprite jam, there is always a set amount of pixels, but if you are asking for a background/mockup, why restrict?
