You do know that this thread is 2 years old right?Ã,  ;)
spooky huh.

It truly scares me!Ã,  :o

It's less scary than someone starting a fresh thread about this game...

Sometimes your lung gets 'stuck' apparantly. Like it sticks the the other gooey bits inside you. It can cause pain. It's nothing to worry about. But i'm not a Doctor.

Played it. Loved the dialog. Fantastic stuff. I must say, the way it ended, very Doctor Who serial ending. Worked for me. Who needs demo's? Episodic gaming is the way.

No! It's not the dark side of the moon! or the moon itself! It's a circular doorway mid-opening!!! Get it right!!!

Then again, if you look at the background, all the edges have lines.

But the character could be refined a bit, and perhaps more detailed. Although, he asked us about the background, not the character.

I have noticed the issue of the image seeming blurry with my new laptop, but i think it's more of the fact of bigger screens. Previously i've used 10-12 inch screens. With the new 15 inch-20 inch +widescreen, the pixels are alot bigger. With my new 15.5 inch, if played in 320x240 mode, the pixels are streched, in 320x200, the pixels are the right width... funny how things come around.

ooh. I certainly like that Jburger. Fantastic stuff. Very establish shot-ish.

I wouldn't complain about that. It looks really good.

I have no objections to the dates...

Hello! I need someone to compose some music for a game I am making.

The game is called Resistance, it is about A time traveller, a group of french resistance fighters and nazis set in 1942 France.

I need a main theme in a 1940's cinema style. Optional to add in the french national anthem into the mix intertwined with original music.

The project is for this month's mags competition.

Please contact me via PM if you can help.

Thanks

Well done Dave. Getting praise from Tim Schaefer is amazing. I guess it would be any AGSer's dream to have that. It's looks like your venture into commercial games might lead you to places you never thought possible.

I too had been reading your blog the last few days. You never know what will happen.

Congratulations, and I hope, as probably we all do, that your networking pays off, and you become the next big game designer...

Looks christmasy. Like it wasn't in august when that photo was taken. Where is that from? Unless the owners are too lazy to remove Christmas decorations...

I meant the AGS editor, not Mono.
Allegedly, from what I read in the mono faq, mono can run .net binaries, so if that were true, then it should work. I'll give it a test.

*edit* As it also says here http://www.mono-project.com/Guidelines:Application_Portability

*edit again* And it doesn't run. It has something to do with winform, which mono hasn't fully got working. But that said, I guess when it is more developed, it just may well be able to run the AGS editor. Which would make the linux folk happy. Hopefully by the time 2.8 is official, mono might be more capable of handling the winforms stuff.

I hope there is a good pub in Taff's well...

No I didn't play the game. I was really trying just to mix things up here a bit.

As racist as the game / title /  subject matter may be, We are in no position to say that games like this shouldn't be made. The engine can be used for whatever people want to. It'd just be like making a game along the lines of Suicide Bomber quest, where you play a muslim who has to gather bomb making equipment, then blow up some innocent people. Is it racist against muslims? Is it a suicide bomber training game? Who knows. But i've gone completly off topic, so i'll end this here.

Ahh, excellent. I'm sure it will please many if i complete this game.

So the something can be a ficticious person? As in a character i create. I am thinking of a war story where a resistance leader, of my own fabrication is thought to have died, but it is revealed that he is still alive, and there is a rescue attempt.
