General Discussion / Re: About Sprite Jam...

It could be a paint-over. pixel by pixel... but thats naff...

That said, if it were he would just say it if he were sane. Or he could have copied it pixel by pixel, which is even more insane.

You should put a plagiarist thing under his forum name, to shame him for life.

No good bastard.

And not the first to be caught out passing off others work as his own.

They are a vintage 1960's pair of union jack underdrawers. I have been wearing them for 2 years straight, and they have never been washed. They have many scid marks, and jizzstains. I am lost without them!!!

Rolf is a prophet for our ties

have you looked at what yodaman produces? Jeez, these are quality. Good style, good animation. The egyptian char is especially good. One critique, is the standing frame on the boy annoys me a bit, dunno why.

Rolf, speak to farlander, but i doubt it, as you are a new member, you are very young, and it is pretty much no more room for you as tehre are already more people who want to go than allowed.

What the hell Rolf, that makes no sense at all...

Don Quioxte, I think it would be best to ask the authors permission to redistribute their games, as most authors choose to include a statement in the readme along the lines of (if you redistribute this game, you are not allowed to change the contents of the zip) To use an ags game in Linux, the game must be either run in wine or something similar, or you get the ags game interpretor linux binaries (i think). To redistribute, you would include the game interpretor binaries, and change the zip format, thus changing the content.

Always best to get permission.

And afaik, plugins dont work with the linux interpretor.

Cheers

£9.99? thats ridiculous!!! I dunno if I would buy it if my (nonexistant) games were featured...

Interesting. I never watched Dr Who as a kid, but I like the new one quite a bit.

*whine* Indy paintover *end whine*

But otherwise, looks great. Hope you can live up to other peoples expectations. Its suprising that no-one has attempted a Doctor game before... or maybe they have and it never materialised.

Keep it up buddy.

I'll find her. All i need is a bottle of whisky, a strand of her hair, a pasty made of foam, and a length of string.

Chris... 40 Euros.

That certainly sounds hefty. I'm actually quite good at navagation, just get me an a to z an i'll lead us in the right direction... Hopefully...

Just remember, when animating, more colours will mean more work. It's kindof hard getting a happy medium without putting yourself through too much work.

In response to kinoko about the beer and women talk, you are more than welcome to discuss that with me, I have not been paying much attention to the forums as of late. Beer and women it is! The more the merrier!!!

Not the best CJ has done.

The AGS shareware April fools joke was the best, and probably will never be beaten. Although this one would have been more succesful if CJ had not been lazy and actually released a WMGS beta, which had lots of error when you tried to add 3d characters and stuff. Would have fooled more people.
#916
there will be teh ags van. It will just be like the Mystery Machine from scooby doo, except there will be a bunch of beer swilling agsers inside as opposed to pot smoking hippies. And there will be a blue insulation tape bluecup design on the side to force our evil views on the world...
#917
Of coarse it's real, after all, April fools ends at midday, and it is 5pm in england where CJ is. I have the beta, and am halfway through making the first RotN game with 3d characters. Its bloody fantastic. I can actually use different angles to create mise-en-scene. Atmospheric, yes. Thanks to the WMGS team.

Oh please come kinoko, it would be nice to have another Australian/Brisbanite to talk to about aussie things like beer and women... wait... J/k. Farl, I have pmd you that i will be there. Im sorry I havent been around, i finally only got an internet connection. hrrrah!!!

After all, who will drink all the beer (that I will buy most of if we all recall last brittens...)

Im a defiantly No doubt, I will be there.

On that not, BED!
#919
Dammit. So unhappy that I missed it. I was working in my new job, and as with new jobs working in a pub it can be quite difficult to get time off. Boo!

I wll make it to Brittens and hopefully mittens.
#920
I hope no-one will be indulging in sheep love. And don't worry about beer. I'm sure there will be many of us buying beer, just like last brittens (which was basically just me spleen and aga buying the beer). Oh and mark. BUt he will not be there.
