General Discussion / Re: How many?

As far as PC games are concerned, I must have around 80. If you include console games, then around 200 or so. I used to have a list of my games, but I haven't updated it in ages...

As you may have already guessed, I'm a lazy person, hence the first part of my nickname. The letter "Z" is a reference to a nickname that my friends use for me; the only thing I'm gonna share about that is that it's derived from my first name and that's that :P.

Some years ago I used to go by "LazyYagami", until I realized that I had become too old to be using a name from King of Fighters.

Check out this tutorial, it should help:

Well, it sounds better than "The Phantom Menace" and "Attack of the Clones", but it's still not that great. Not that I expect the movie to be any better. I'll still watch it when it comes out, if only because I used to be a Star Wars fanboy some 10 years ago. Let's hope Lucas gets this one right (or at least less wrong than episodes 1 and 2).

Zor, right click on an inventory item to look at it.

Thanks AGA.

Uh, Ryan, 200 is bigger than 50, so yeah, it does break the rules.

Lovely game so far, but I'm stuck:

Spoiler

I'm on Wednesday, I've gotten the bloody food/Serena's hand, talked to the Doc, he gave me that UV flashlight, followed the trail through the shaft, and saw the blood marks on the wall on the next room. What should I do next?"

Timosity is working on a P&C version of Larry 3, if you search the Games in Production forum you'll find the thread.

By the way, redruM, I downloaded your game a few days ago (thanks to my alzheimer's, I kept forgetting to do so for months), and I have to say, excellent job, well done. ^_^

A n00b is a newbie, it's a term used in a slightly derogatory sense. I guess that "his eyes aren't too good" refers to your not seeing the modify button.

Anyhow, I for one hope you actually finish these games, and I also hope that you have the motivation needed to do so.

Argh, can't believe I forgot to mention the Ring (Japanese version. The remake was ok, but I prefer the original), that's one of my favorite movies, horror or otherwise, ever! Too bad its sequels were pretty meh.

As far as actual "scary" movies are concerned, my favorite is definitely Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining". I also liked Carpenter's "The Thing", too. And since Darth mentioned a movie that scared him yet is not usually considered "scary", I have to mention Memento. While watching that movie, I tried to imagine how my life'd be if I had the same problem, now that's scary!

I absolutely loved Jacob's Ladder, but I wouldn't call it a "horror" movie, it's eerie, unsettling, but not really horror, IMO. Still, it's fantastic film. Also, as much as I love the Evil Dead trilogy, I wouldn't call them horror either. Well, the first one kinda is, but it's still too silly for me to call it that.

IT was pretty good for a Stephen King book - to movie kinda thing. I've seen so many bad straight-to-video movies based on King's books, it's not even funny. :P

(edit) Skio, this month's Sinema magazine is giving away the Sixth Sense (which is a very good movie, by the by) on DVD! Though I kinda think you already know this. :P

The ones that come to mind right now are the following:

Monkey Island 1, 2 (lite, of course) and 3
Quest for Glory 3
Loom
Sam n' Max
Full Throttle
... and I used a walkthrough only once in Broken Sword, does that count? :P

Eat Metal Records? Endiaferon onoma :P. Cool, hopefully I'll buy it in the next couple of days!

Hints & Tips / Re: Monkey Kombat

Actually, I enjoyed Monkey Kombat too. I'm not sure why, but probably because it was a nice diversion. Though yeah, the robot fight thing was pretty crappy.

And like Zootyfruit said, MK is random, so you'll have to play through it. Although, if you really don't wanna do that, you could always search for saved games on the internet, even if this is frowned upon by some people. :P

Cool song! 80's metal is teh rock. ;D

I noticed the Maiden and Manowar influences too, and I think I noticed some Blind Guardian influences as well.

Spyro (stupid question alert, but it's late so I'm excused :P), will I be to find the cd in stores like Rock city, etc?

Search the manual for "Customized text windows".
#37
Oh, guess Loom did come out first then. Still it's kinda weird though.
#38
QuoteAbout loom being a talkie, it came out before MI1 and it was not a talkie.

Wasn't Loom released after MI1? Otherwise, what would the point of that "Ask me about Loom" pirate in the Scumm bar be? I don't really remember which came first, but because of this, I'd guess that MI1 came first.

Anyway, yep, no voices. Thinking up your own voices is pretty cool, tho'. :P

Otto will stay in the Greek team whoo hoo!

QuoteI like Russia very much, so I'm going to blame the referees for their defeats.

That's so... Greek. :P

Thanks Felipe! ^_^ About the Greek names, yes it's true, like 99.9% of Greek male names end in an "s". I'm not exactly sure why this is so, but I guess that since Greek is a synthetic language (erm... English major stuff, sorry), it's a way of showing the gender, since Greek female names don't usually end in an "s".

Russia still has talented players, it's not talent they're lacking. I just heard an interview with Otto on the radio, and he basically said that he'll leave Greece in order to coach the German national team...  :-\

Shouldn't it just be the Orthodox church, period? :P
