Wow, I like this version. Indeed like a book. I do however have two points:

1: The keyboard takes up quite a bit of space. When you imagine a touchscreen you shouldn't need one and have some space free for
2: Some bigger animations. There's two sets of directional controls on both sides. One is enough I think, althoug I can't imagine why you'd want to scroll right/left.

My idea (just a quick/dirty edit):

You need to combine several items.

Spoiler
Use the panel from the robot with the sign and use the screws to secure them. The combination can be used on the gaps.

Oh yeah, that great music. And have you seen the amount of clay they used? Speaking of production costs  ;D

My very first anwer here at the top explains how to read the paper.

Yeah, housequest will be there later today.

For the ones who don't want to mess around with DosBox or other installations, I made standalone window versions of House Quest (2Mb) and Red Flagg (1,7Mb). Just unpack the archive in to the root of any drive (even USB sticks) and run from the folder created. This should also work under Vista but I only tested under XP.

Nice. I liked the atmosphere created for a great part by Ennio but it goes very well with the graphics. The voices were good. The walkcycle/navigation could use some attention because I repeatedly 'moonwalked' to locations...(especially in the cellar). But: congratulations. Looking forward to the full/rest of the story.

Well, you're not really tied to the desert...... and what conducts perfectly and does NOT exist in the desert? ;-)

Front left and right rear legs won't move at the same time. I think that causes the limp. You can see a better walkcycle in this clip.

The you probably didn't follow it correctly. The walkthrough also says before that:

Spoiler
Use the magnet on the guard to search for lead items. Use the magnet on the ground in front of  him  to discover a hidden passage.

Of course there will be... working on it... ;-)

So, who did the original? I can't even seem to find the demo.

That's what Trent said. But the games from my list are not on that server. Besides, that servers isn't updated. Not sure who's responsible for that one.

I get my fonts here. Under bitmap/pixel are some very good (and tiny) ones.

You might want to create a 'real' digital book? This is my version, DS-style. Separating pages prevents having to use an all too tiny font and still have the ability to display a fair amount of info. I wouldn't want to cramp it all into one screen. Besides that is this layout perfect if you don't want a full screen display.

Well, if you really want to know... of course there's a solution for everything....

Even shitting  ;D

Maybe even an AGS-based, interactive one.

That wouldn't be very useful. Then you need both, one as a written story, one as interactive version. If you only have a playable version, you might miss essentials and it's easier to read back in a written story than to have to play the interactive one again.

I'm playing them all at the moment so I should be up2date in a week or 2. Then I can put together the basic story of RoN.
