Well.... this one is a bit fishy ;-). At least you need the rat there.

Try the supermarket. They sell liquor as well.

What I miss in your list is something you can find near the castle. Have you been there and spoken to the guys in front of the door?

The dog won't listen. It makes you sick, right?  ;)

Spoiler
Try to puke in the dog bowl (use the puke-icon on yourself near the bowl).

Like Ben says: Since I won't find a crowbar, I need something heavy to open the panel. That rocks.

What a fun, solid, little game this is. I loved the humour (the puking, the crowbar, the dark shed). Brilliant!
Catchy tune at the start & end, nice effects during the game. Fun animations (e.g. the wait cursor) and fresh looks.

Was a bit disappointed with the end though. Expected a bit more there (like LeisureSuitLarry in the drugstore...)

But overall perfect start! Congratulations.

I've found the backup - altough I thought, I had more stuff from those days.

What I don't have yet:

  • Example "Quest" by Helm
  • Fantasy Quest by Greg Hurst
  • Hacker Jack (Demo?) by The Death
  • Indy and the
  • Indiana Jones and the Gold Medallion (Demo?) by Ben Chivers
  • Tale of Roland by Greg Hurst

Or maybe I do and then they have a complete illogical filename and I haven't played it yet. So can I bother you by that time and ask you to send them? I recon they're very small since it's from the early days.

Thanks for the effort.

It's not possible to get beyond the point of exiting the book in your inventory  >:(.  And it's needed to complete the game.
I've found a workaround though!

The author luckilly left debug mode on so there you are. I suggest you start reading the book near the Decrypto 900. You can then press CTRL-X and select 6 - Room 3. You're back in the room, with the book closed and without the crash but with the needed info.

Try to find more info on the subject found on the table....

The Sherriff won't let me do anything

You have to investigate elsewhere first until the crime scene is released for you to investigate.

Great game (so far)!
Nice addition to the RoN world.

Close the box at ground level. It's on the outside of the lid.

It's the classical "Escape The Room" trick!

Spoiler
You've made the space under the door already bigger. So the key can now slide underneath: use the paper on the door, use the wire on the keyhole to push the key out. Move the paper to get the paper and key out.

I do remember, that I've archived most games of 2000 (and beginning 2001) on a CD - but I can't remember were I've put it. But I keep looking for it.

Whenever you find it, I'm very interested in it. More out of historical interest than adventure, althoug I'd be happy to play them. Let me know when you come across it and we'll work out a way to preserve the ancient bits....

I'm playing this one now. Nice game. It takes a bit to get used to the controls but after a while it's ok. Some things are not really clear though:

Spoiler
When you've mixed the ingredients for light and put the bottle in the attic, you're supposed to apply with fire according to the book. But opening the bottle and using the alcohol on it does the trick? I've searched very long for this solution.
Nevermind. Reading can be very difficult at some times..  :-\ It says clearly with air not fire...

Found a bug? I'm in the attic reading a book. The exit button doesn't work so I'm stuck looking at a closed book. Any suggestions other than starting all over again?

Nevermind this one as well... I crashed the game. Using anything on the book causes:

Error: run_text_script1: error -6 running function 'repeatedly_execute':
Error: Null pointer referenced
in "ActiveText.asc", line 601

There's a memo on the bulletin board in the hall on the left. The lower right message has a pin in a strange place. Take the pin so you can turn the paper and read the back... take it from there.

It's inside the house in the right side of the cabinet.

Nope, sorry, my mistake. There isn't a DB entry but I found the name here. That's why I knew of it's existense.
I'm working on a complete list of AGS games ... that's why I was interested.

As you can see here it's in the list, but without any info. Until now. Very soon it will be updated, have a walkthrough and all details added.

By the way, since you stil seem to have the source code, do you by any chance also have other games from that era? (I won't say stone-age but still...  ;) )

[Edit] I'm not sure what you translated but in the english version only Mac is a hotspot and that's about it. You can't do anything... ?

[Edit 2] In the German version, bailing out on Omi's questions and returning messes up the order of answers with the questions.
