I guess it really depends, if part 1 is very different to "part 1" in the full length then potentially it would be interesting to have it....

We'll only know that once we have the missing file... won't we? :-D

Thanks to another Dutch collector, Henk:

1358: Absent: Part I - Innocent Until Proven Guilty
has been replaced by
1731: Absent (full length)

Do we still want the part 1 that once was released?

Not sure what happened here:

This link is working (again maybe?). It's normally downloadable from the gamesdb.

[edit]
as is this one:

There's more where this came from (laugh)

Double click is the keyword here I think  :wink:
You can set the sensitivity with the options button on the lower right.

Since no one has replied yet...

Interact with the laptop (right click) instead of looking/selecting it (left click). You can now choose what to do with the laptop. After closing it the story will continue.

Talk to the patient all you can. Don't administer anything and then talk to Panoptibot in the nursing station. When you ask him if you can leave and tell him about patient 1, he'll tell you that you're done with him. Now concentrate on patient 2.

@Grundislav: Could it be something from Humongous Entertainment? It's colourful cartoony, has anthropomorphic characters and silly voices. Not sure about midi sound though. Couldn't find any ape in their list either. I do have "The Disk" 1-7 except 4 so 1994 is pretty much covered. Humongous was the only thing commercial I could find on there that resembled your description a bit.

@Mati256: Sounds like a paratrooper game  (roll). But since there are so many clones and makeovers of that game- and type, can you remember more details?

#35
@RaGG: What error do you get?

@Grundislav: To narrow the search: was it AGS or commercial?

You can play with the gamecolordepth, defaultres and screenres to change the values. What I tend to do is search a game that does work and copy the acsetup.cfg from that game into this one. A bit of try & error. What message do you get?
#37
The version I've downloaded from agsarchives works fine under XP. Only thing is you need an acsetup.cfg which is a bit more difficult to generate using the setup.bat or the qfg.exe.
Take an editor (e.g. notepad) and paste next code into a new file. Save it as acsetup.cfg in the same folder as qfg.exe and try to run the game again. It should then run windowed under XP.

Code: acsetup.cfg

[sound]
digiid=-1
midiid=-1
digiwin=1096302880
midiwin=-1
digiindx=0
midiindx=0
digiwinindx=0
midiwinindx=0
[misc]
gamecolordepth=32
defaultres=3
screenres=1
letterbox=0
windowed=1
refresh=0
gfxfilter=None

As far as I can read there are only demos available, never full releases. One of them can be found here but since I can't get past the opening screen, I'm not sure whether this is 1 or 2..

[update]
Digging further, I have the feeling that this file contains both episodes in one game. According to the original site there was only one download for both episodes and should be around 40Mb. Exactly what demo2.zip is...

[update2]
Just had a quick playthrough and I can confirm that this file contains both parts of the demo.

Isn't it easy for those games to upload them to their (maybe to be created) AGSA gamepage and add that AGSA-dl-link to the AGS-DB as main download link?
(just thinking...)

That's what I've been saying all the time. Just check the games db to see if the link points to agsa download (not games page). If not, check if the game's available on agsa. If it is, change the link to point there, if it isn't and the games is elsewhere, create the page and download on agsa and point the games db to that direction.

That way you'll eventually filter out all the games you don't have and make the games available for the future.

Mind you that a page on AGSA doesn't necessarily mean a download on AGSA... There are still a number of "coming soons...."
