Nice one. Good graphics, could use some more animation and diversity (especially the toilet block). Just make a flashing light bulb or something. Or make some random moving characters in the scene.

As for the puzzles, you could make it a bit more interesting by putting more random stuff in the bin and let the user take it and let the user find out whether or not to use it. If it's used, it shouldn't return in the bin because it's very strange to have a bin full of that item. Like the box-o-stuff from Night of the Hermit.

I thought it was very strange when

I got the flowers, went back to the bin and found the shears again, which I had used near the flowers and I can only take one thing...

Did you inspect the crime-scene thoroughly?  Talk to everyone about 'anselmo' Then make sure you get some evidence.

If it doesn't make sense, tell me what's in your inventory.

If I remember correctly I should look at the open window

Not really.

You should...

Take the tranquilizer from your bathroom, put it in the chalice from the fountain and open the window to make it hot.

@Vagabond-Heureux:

Did you talk to the nervous priest, father Eldo, already? He can tell you more but he needs to calm down first.

And indeed, the torch from your room won't work since it runs on batteries. You're thinking in the right direction though..you need to make one. But only do so after you've spoken to Eldo.

To make the torch:
Spoiler

At home, in the bathroom you can find bandages.
At the abbey where you parked your car is a stick in the grass on the left.
Looking at the floor in the room with the torches, there's an oily patch.
Combine these and use your lighter...

Nice one, I like the 'graphics'.. :-)

A few minorities:

- Debug is still on
- I crashed the game: while in the elevator clicking on Quimby gives:

in "GlobalScript.asc", line 197
Error: MoveCharacterBlocking: character is turned off and cannot be moved

@Vagabond-Heureux:

- Start the computer.
- Start the graphics application.
- Click on A (acquire)
- When asked to select source, your inventory will open (or open yourself if not)
- Select the camera from your inventory and the picture will appear.

@Schadow1000:

Which part are you playing? I recon it's 4 but it would be nice to know for sure.

So far, and I'm halfway part 3, there aren't many changes. Nothing in particular, except for the dialogs with people which I think are now more annoying than before. Other than that, nothing worth replaying if you have already played the first 3.

Well... almost.
You first need to get gold dust. Look at the rod!
Spoiler
You need to use the crowbar on the rod to get dust. Mix that with the salt and dirt.

If it's not PC related you can try ConsolePassion.

Nice game, interesting plot. Although the ending was obvious, the story is still quite unique. Clearly you're more a storyteller than a graphics artist ;-)

Apart from the numerous typo's and the somewhat pixelhunting feeling because of the hotspot of the cursor, it's a well done game!

Well.... I've got more than 1000 commercial ones listed on these pages: 1, 2 and 3. If you know one not listed yet... let me know and I'll add it. If you know links to demo's of these, I'm also happy to add them.

General Discussion / Re: What are you reading?

I think it's great. Haven't read any other work from her (although I probably might after this one) but must say I really like it. I like how you're dragged into the story from the start. After some time it gets a bit more shallow but still good enough to want to get to the end. She knows how to create suspense.
Also taking into account that the book plays in the area where I live, the detailed writing makes it good reading. Now only the time to read it :-)

Skin - Mo Hayder (eBook)
Holes - Louis Sachar (audioBook)
The plains of passage - Jean M Auel (old-fashioned paper version)

Presuming you've watched the mission video, leave the room...

In the hallway, use the AI-disable card on the liquid wall next to button you pushed to open your room.

What's in your inventory and what's your current location?

It runs just fine. I can understand the huge size now and I think it's worth it. The quality of the movies are really good. Some issues I have though:

- English. Please let someone correct the translation because there are way too many spellings- and grammar errors. This is really the largest negative point for me and I can see people stopping their game just because of it.
- Direction. Being inside the hive, you have no indication where you're going to. You just need to use each and every door to find out which is what and after you have you need to keep a very good track of the level and direction you are. It would be nice to tell which door it is by looking at it or a sign next to it.
- Strange. On the living level, room 202 has a yellow button. Looking at it says: I see a green button ..
- Looking at the mission briefing video, there's no translation so I have no idea what the mission is...

So far, I'm having fun exploring this world with very nice visual features.
