It's all about timing and distraction.

Spoiler
There are several ways to get rid of the bear. At least distract him by throwing stones at the bells left and right. He'll cover his ears for a moment giving you the time to attack. You can use either the slayer or the sling.

Also a walkthrough for some odd reason
http://gamesolutions.efzeven.nl/rein-walkthrough-darius-poyer2010/

It's not really odd. I make one for every game (still 149 to go) that has at least some interaction. There are even shorter ones.

But it's also a database for myself. I now have the game in my archive, I have a screenshot of it and I know what the game was about. And other people sometimes stumble upon the index, see the screenshot and might want to play as well. At least you found it ;-)

Examine the statue. You might really need some help:
Spoiler
Order Spunk on the manly statue and he’ll discover the base isn’t solid.

Then you can:
Spoiler
Use your Sputta Stunner on the statue and everyone will join.

When you pick them up, they are indeed. But after you've used them, they disappear.

Another strange thing: In the green hub looking at the door on the left it says: open door. But when you walk through, the door opens. So it wasn't open, it was unlocked. But how could you know from such a distance... Nevermind... it's the action that shows in the statusbar, not the object. Confusing at times. :-\
To make things even worse.... how come an emergency exit is locked with a padlock... So much for emergencies.. It already says it has been locked for some reason.... :)

Found a few typos:
in the maintenance room looking at the device: used by manitenace --> maintenance
in the maintenance room looking at the hammer: to open the accecss --> access
Spoiler
after removing the padlock: I broke thorugh --> through

And debug mode is still on.

Great game. I like the animations and the way things have to be solved. The time pressure at first is an added value... I agree with Dual, the music is a bit less but doesn't spoil the fun.

What I didn't like is that, because of the detailed story and graphics, things disappear without explanation: the hammer, the key... gone, just like that. Why not keep them in your inventory?

You have to press the + as many times as the numbers on the card. This could be 5 or 6 so still a guess. Alternatively you can download the cd version which doesn't have this protection. Then you have speech as added bonus.. It's 85Mb though...

Indeed it's a bit awkward but once you've selected the item, it is part of your context. The cursor won't change but you can use the object  with or on other objects. You can read the selected object in your status bar at the top.

There is a Leisure Suit Larry: lost in Love?

Does anyone have it or the demo, I'd like to try it out.

There is... or was, at the moment.

Here are the details.

But:
Quote from: ProgZmaxNo, it's an abandoned alpha with absolutely zero gameplay so I didn't really bother to keep it around.  It's one of those projects I regretted starting almost immediately.

I know that the game still exists out there because it appears in indexes. I now need to contact the right people to get the game. Still on it..

The clue in killing the rabbit is in the journal.
Spoiler
Revive the carrot in the stables with the wand.
Put the carrot on the treestump, leave and return to catch the rabbit.
Tie the rabbit to the butchers bench.
Add the underpotion to the myrklend and give the slime to the rabbit.

Still at the original location, this is Rode Kill: A day in the life.
Rode Quest 1 and Rode Quest 2 still seems to be fine...

No worries, I read the threads as well.  :D

I just didn't realize
Spoiler
you missed the fluff part.

You still don't have a reason to go into the cinema.
Look at the front door. There you'll notice your reason.

I really liked the effect in 'A Second Face': running. Normal click is walking, double click is running. That way you don't have to wait too long to reach your exit but you can reach it in your own pace without the feeling of missing something (which the skipping gives me).

This one is the one that was released during the MAGS competition.

How do you mean
Spoiler
the sled is difficult to attach to the robot?
[close]

The area to hit is very small and you have to use the right position on the sled to interact.
#276
That's better. Some other minor thingies:

I got stuck several times (literally) on locations without being able to move. I can't really say what caused this.
Spoiler
You can pick up the sled twice.. if you click the location it was before.
The sled is very difficult to attach to the robot.

Re-downloading then.... never saw that message. Sorry.

A really nice game. Fantastic animations and sound effects. I do miss the feedback on interaction with object and inventory items though. I also have the feeling the game isn't completely finished? I can pick up a lot of objects to put in my inventory but have absolutely no use for them.

Spoiler
Only after putting up the mirror and creating reflection, the suggestion is made that the robot might need some recharging. In my first run I directly gave the grasshopper to the robot and he ran off. So no use for the mirror, sled, CD and other 'box' that's in my inventory.

As a suggestion and to extend the game, you might want to make funny animations (you're good at them) on the spot that give various random effects (ever played Freddi Fish?). Then you don't need them in your inventory but still have a use for them.

The interface is simple but sweet. Easy to use and not taking up unnecessary space.

Other suggestions are animating dialog characters and turning off debug mode ;-)

Well done!

And yes, there is a walkthrough:)
