Slightly delayed, here it is.

Soooo, anyone played the English version till the end? I crashed it right after the interview with error:

Error: The character "Muscle Sam" could not be displayed because there were no frames in loop 2 of view 76.

[update]It doesn't always do that so it seems.... not sure what happened here.

The English walkthrough will be available later today (working on it as we speak). If you have specific issues, just ask.

Looking good. I'm not to sure about the cursor though. 2 characters at the same time can become confusing.
Will the story be fixed or do you have random victims each time you start a new game to increase the replay value?
Keep up the good work!

...you know he's right, that's a great point if there is a problem i should be having people working with soon on (a new game) in 2010--but i would also like for people to let me know what think of twewy2(nnt)- so i can make it better and maybe if you guys have a favorite character from one of your games then maybe there will be times were neku could use some back up or just need to speak to some one about something that's going on in the game

...he's got one (1) comma!  Still I'm missing some full stops and capitals though.  :-[
And some common sense English. Ah... now I know! He's writing Senpahs....
I wonder where Senpah is....  Should have paid more attention during geography lessons..

Congratulations! I love those characters a la KQ. I'll play later and let you know...

Then you don't know what the yellow vial is for, do you? Do you need any medication at all?
Spoiler
First try to find the lieutenant and see what the problem is. Then goto the obvious place to cure the ill... If nothing can help you there, try again here.

Yeah, I saw a question in the H&T so I answered. But I hadn't written the walkthrough yet so that's what I just did. And while writing, I stumbled upon this error, just by accident.

And sure, whenever you're close to releasing, give me a shout and I'll give it a serious beta-stage.

Well, I'm not sure what the spoiler is, but if you insist...

Well, what do you do when computers fail? Back to paperwork.
Spoiler
In the recreation room on deck 5 (I think), where you found the yellow vial in the first aid kit, you can find some books that can help.

I suggest each party keeps on doing what he/she's intended to do: Terran makes the reviews & alternative community, Peder makes the repository and I keep working on the documentation. When Peder's repository is up and running (the core of it all), we can join forces and link one another.

For now I think Peder should just focus on the database with games and basic info to be able to search it and add new entries.

I'd say you shouldn't make it too massive at first. Although you need a good base, the project might become too vast. Why not start with the basics, just the listings and completeness of the basic data. You can always expand and add features in the future. If you stay with it too long, you'll never launch and the interest gets lost.

Just start with the basic listings etc. When you're live, you'll get suggestions and ideas on the go and can implement them later. ImDB also wasn't built in one day. When you look at how they started...  :)

As for the versions and games, you need to rename them yourself and give them version names in the filename. If you depend on the author, they all have the same name and get overwritten. Having an administrator adding the games would be more appropriate except it might keep authors from submitting because they don't see immediate result. Unless... you let them make a temp entry themselves that is marked as 'needs moderation' and then gets updated by the administrator.

Then the question surfaces how the author links to the gamefile if it's being renamed by the administrator...  ::)

I think you should separate the two. Right now you're aiming to be a flexible provider for everyone but on the other side you want to be an archive that needs moderation and administration. I see a lot of challenges and hard work here.

I see a lot of people in the AGS community working on similar projects. Why not let others do the reviews, ratings, news etc. Just focus on what it says on the pack: agsarchives.com. Create a repository with files, versions and info about that. In phase 2 you can always see if you can merge with another site/database that holds reviews, documents etc..

Just my thoughts...

Please don't delete them.... just hide them from public view....

Is that what they call this swearing these days?  :-\

Nevertheless, I don't know what is complete but your 'completed game' is nowhere to be found... Maybe a direct link to your game if you want to interest people?

16 can still be downloaded from the the author's site

The same goes for Au Naturel. It's also available here.

Nevertheless, the links should be fixed of course...  :)

I know that there are voice removing plug-ins. They don't really remove the voice but eliminate certain frequency's and you might be able to play around with it and find your guitar 'waves'.

According to this article there should be something like "the center channel reduction filter" standard in audition. A tool I've found is Extra Boy Pro that you might want to check out.

Oh, and don't believe everything you see on CSI. Although they use advanced technologies doesn't mean it's all real. Have you ever noticed how they blow up an image of a CCTV footage about 500% and still get perfect quality images? Yeah, you can do a lot with enhancements but there are limits...  :)

When creating a games database I'd like to see info about:

- Game name
- Description of game
- Keywords to search on
- Date of release
- Filename of the game
- Available languages of the game
- Size of the game
- Link to external site (homepages of game)
- The author name (not the nick as used on the forum)
- Crossref author (to other work)
- Link to external site (homepages of author)
- Screenshot(s) of game
- User rating
- Length of the game *)
- Links to reviews
- Links to walkthroughs (not necessarily mine but I eventually do have them all.. Each game should have instructions on how to finish the game, either by author or third party).
- Addition info (optional) like background info, links to concept art on c&c, completed announcements, MAGS pages etc. Prizes won, articles in other publications...

*) It's always difficult to tell how long a game will take so I though of a system that will compare all games with each other to determine the length of a game.

I'm still looking for Platformerius, the link in the games section is broken.

Would you be surprised if I told you I've got a copy on my site;D

I just tried it. None of the options in the dialog will gain points....
