Great game, the only probs i had with it was a lot of pixel hunting, and somewhat cheezy dialogue.

It didn't seem like he was that freaked out to me.

The Elevator Graphics, and character were beautifully done, and the heartbeat only added to the atmosphere giving that chill up your spine.

Good job for a weeks worth of work though.

Very Unique Style Largo, Original, i havent seen a style like that yet

The sidewalk shouldn't be unicolor. It looks out of place. Besides of that, your picture has improved very well from the first try.

What do you mean by unicolor?

Add some scenery in the background. Distant mountains, or buildings, or something. Right now it is as if things just dropped off after the building.

I actually liked the original "paper cutout" perspectiveless style. It could have been developed into something interesting.

Why would a building that looks like its about to fall down be next to a perfectly fine building? Its unsafe and doesn't seem to happen often. Not to be TOO critical sorry.

Hah, i figured someone would ask that.. I am going to make humor about it in game, but basically the workers got lazy and demolished every old building on the compound except for that one.. On the other side of the street everything is nice but more expensive.

So the owner bought the property next to the abandoned, falling apart warehouse to save a lot of $$, the only problem is they are still figuring out a proper way to demolish it, without causing damage to there own building.

Just never got around to it =)

A Dark forest streches for miles as rain begins to fall through the leaves. The sounds of footsteps marching through the mud echos throughout the muffled area.

A Figure begins to approach, a single aged lantern acting as illumination, providing an eerie glow.

FLASH

Lightning flashes across the darkened sky as the sound of thunder barrels off in the distance.

You see his face, - he is a young handsome man, with little experience of adventure in his eyes.

A Cloak covers him from head to toe, guarding him against the daggers of water that fall from the sky.

As he continues trenching himself through the forest, a high pitched voice is heard  next to him.

"So what now Cecil?"

Cecil: "I'm not really sure Osric, the map is ruined from the rain" *he speaks in a light hearted voice

the voice appears to be a talking turtle, it rests upon cecils shoulders.

Osric: "Oh Great! The so called hero can't even protect a map, how does he think he is going to protect a kingdom when he is older?"

Cecil: "...  You are treading on dangerous ground tonight Osric... Your lucky i don't leave you here by yourself."

Osric: *Squeels* "Fine Fine.... Just remember cecil, you need to find that Enchanted Tree.."

Cecil frowns

Cecil: "There are thousands of trees around us, how do you expect me to find a single enchanted tree!"

Cecil walks straight into a tree, all of a sudden you hear a loud roaring voice shout out in pain

TREE: YEOWAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

Cecil turns to osric, "What was that?"

osric stares blankly at the talking tree

"There it is Cecil!"

Cecil looks up to the tree and apoligizes.

TREE: CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I AM ROOTED HERE?

The tree bellows

Cecil: "Forgive me great tree, i come to ask thee of something."

TREE: WHAT IS IT?

Cecil: "I Require the rotton kumquat of your branches, in order to save my love from a curse."

TREE: THAT CANNOT BE DONE, I NEED IT TO LIVE, GO NOW AND LEAVE ME.

Cecil has anger in his eyes

Cecil: "I have traveled many miles to reach here, through weather of more difficult proportions!"

TREE: I CARE NOT, LEAVE BEFORE I AM ANGERED!!

Cecil then whispers something to osric "Turn into an axe"

Osric: "Righto!"

A flash appears around osric as he turns into a sturdy axe

Cecil: "Now to get your fruit!"

Cecil slams the axe against the tree in several fluid strokes as it falls to the ground. The screams of the tree are echoed throughout the forest.

Cecil bends down, axe in hand and picks up the rotton kumquat.

A Smile appears on his face

Cecil: "Osric change into Gryphon, we can fly our way back to the kingdom now and gather up the 4 eggs and the other materials that we need"

Osric changes his form once more into the great winged beast.

They fly off into the distance toward the kingdom.

Cecil rushes into the kingdom and enters a room with the 4 eggs and the rotton kumquat in his hand, as well as a pouch of other items.

Fairy: Have you returned with what i have asked?

Cecil: "Yes i have, all 5..."

Osric: "5?"

Cecil hands over the eggs and the rotton fruit, some dead skin and lotion of tanning and turns to osric.

Cecil: "Sorry Osric.... your the 5th... a talking animal..."

Osric: " But... But"

Cecil lowers his head and hands over osric as the fairy nods

Fairy: Very well it shall be done, your love shall be turned back into her youthful age once again, and i shall break the witches curse..

The Fairy casts a spell on the elderly woman sleeping as she gradually turns into a beautiful young girl.

The Fairy then fades as all the items dissappear with her

Cecil smiles as he walks over to his love, he leans down to kiss her lips but a pain surrounds his entire body.

He begins to scream in horror as he bends and twists into a giant tree.

The beautiful woman awakens, and sees the tree...  she speaks gently

"Since when are trees planted in doors?"



GAME OVER..


It seems that being greedy doesn't pay off, you destroy an enchanted tree, and give away your best friend... Whatta Expect?

i've seen that, and i tried to DL art gem but it said something like they discontinued it  or something along those lines.

anyways, heres an update of the background

Thanks to Increators tutorial i finally got the perspective right i think, so its flat ground and not weird like.

and i tried to make grass around the border as well as a few other minor touch ups and i rose the window off the ground.

Well is there a program as easy as paint? Because i have paint shop pro 7, and its very confusing.

You can still overwrite the gui type icons, i've done it multiple times.

You go to Sprite Editor and overwrite them with the new image.

So if you want a new image for the eye, you make one about the same size, import over it, and bam! you have a new "Eye".
