Hello, I use google translator
I'm drawing the gui for my game and planned to do a coin with murray inside, I can use verbs look and speak but not to put interact.
Can you help me?
Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I understand what you are asking:

Well, in Full Throttle I believe they just put a hand and a foot under the skull-face kinda disconnected from it (or were they on each side?)

If you could tell us more about your character then maybe there could be a reason why his/her hand was visible near their face. For example:

A priest: Easy...they are praying.

A student: They have their hand up to answer a question.

A punk: They are picking their nose, or giving the finger.

A hard-boiled detective: They are smoking.

Captain Picard: He is doing a face-palm.

etc...etc...

Then the hand would be visible for the player to click on to use "interact".

(Oh...and Adeel...I am in fact over 6ft tall to answer your disclaimer (laugh) )

I found a picture you could use as a starting point.

we could use verb eyes look
the verb mouth to speak.
but iteractuar where we could use?

Hey, wasn't he in a movie called "Lost In Translation?"... :-D

Sorry, it was just too good to resist. No offense intended 8-)

Unless it is just an alternative ending that never got into the game...

No sorry...

Here's another hint:

When I said ME I didn't actually mean me, as in me: Mandle. This has nothing to do with myself or my games etc.

April, the challenges created by you are already a success!

If you think that already...Man, you should play the dude's games! (I'm not sure what your first language is but his game "Donald Dowell And The Ghost Of Barker Manor" is available in several languages including Italian, Croatian, and Ancient Egyptian I believe...And is also an incredibly GREAT game!)

And tell Bob that I'm glad he is fine...

Such an awesome guy! What would we have done without him?!

Yaaaaaay!!!

Take your well-deserved rest mate!

Ah, I hadn't seen this thread before I mailed you, only the one in questions forums. So let me say again that these backgrounds look incredible, and as you are planning on animating them, even more incredible.

One question: are you planning on a first-person or third-person view for the game?

I don't know if anyone has seen this guy's stuff before but it's absolutely amazing, and a must for any fans of Lovecraft and/or Dr. Seuss.

He has taken the original Lovecraft stories and turned them into perfect replicas of what Dr. Suess would have made of the source material. In his blog on the page it also says that Chaosium (the company that made the "Call Of Cthulhu" role playing game) is planning to publish his own "Call Of Cthulhu (for beginning readers)" in a paper-book edition. (droools)

Here is that book's cover, and the story inside also runs 75 beautiful pages, all in impeccable Seussian style:

You can check out all his work HERE (If you scroll down you will see the links to all his Lovecraft adaptations)

or...

You can jump straight into "The Call Of Cthulhu (for beginning readers)" HERE (The images can be zoomed, and just click on the NEXT/PREVIOUS links below the picture to turn the pages)

I'm sure that has to be right.

A quite hard one I think: :-D

You can do this after talking, pal. (5)

With your repeatedy execute structure have you tried having the game detect the x,y location of the character and then shutting out/allowing the next way point command based on whether he has reached the last one before he can continue to the next?

I'm not sure if I completely understood the problem however...

I can not speak for everyone and every situation , but this episode made †‹†‹me consider that display a static mouse cursor in the screen brings some kind of emotional balance to the player, allowing it focus, increasing its concentration  on the screen. The cursor is practically your candle and anchor ... even without light and even an unattainable depth.

Sheer poetry right there...And I totally understand what you are saying and your setbounds solution will stay in my memory as I anticipate a similar problem where I will need to do exactly this in a current project later on...

Thanks for the thread!

(And good call in testing it on your wife...I'm going to do the same on my project...They will always be harsh but true...)
