Voted. I also put a time macchine in one of my games (in Donald Dowell) so I used that one to vote ^^

Did you remember your history enough to click the BC/AD switch just right? Otherwise you might be voting for the outcome of a Pelota match instead...

Fill in dish with one pee (8)

YAY!! Got it after much thought!

Spoiler
Template

A "Fill-in" is a "temp" and a "dish" is also a "plate", then with only one "p" it becomes "template"

and had just decided yesterday that my own next project will be Lovecraft-themed...

(laugh) I confirm! (laugh) (laugh)
Mate, it seems you've been beaten to the punch!

Hehe...naw...there can never be too many Lovecraft games ;)

I vote for: A Tainted Treat

Miguel's effort was also awesome (as usual) but I must say that I had the most fun with Dread Spectacle's game: It fitted the theme perfectly, being a Trick-Or-Treating misadventure set on Halloween night. I really hope to see more games from this author!

Looks amazing!!! Also a GIANT fan of Lovecraft here and had just decided yesterday that my own next project will be Lovecraft-themed...

Bring on yours first though please! I wanna play!!!

Am I addicted to Mags ?

I fear yes Miguel... u.u

You and Mandle should go to some good specialist doctor... also you could try hypnosis...
(laugh)

Hahaha....I thought you were talking about the itchy genitals at first and thought "How did he know???" (laugh)

And naw....2 MAGs in a row is enough for me...I only did October because I already had the idea for a two-player system with data-swapping handled by a text code string, and the Trick-Or-Treat format was perfect for a test-of-concept trial...Also, I love Halloween...

I think my next project will be using a similar system, only a bit more refined, but that project will not be a MAGs. It will take a bit longer than that...

Well good luck to all who undertake the insanity that is MAGs this month...

And though it may cause my patients distress.
Somewhere...Somewhere in heaven above me...
I know...I know that my Momma's proud of me.
"Ohhh, Momma..."

Thinking on a theme worthy of Steve's dentist to bring him back for this sequel...

I was somehow privy to the upcoming release of this game and had to do a serious sit-on-my-hands maneuver to not spill the beans...

LOVED the first two games...two of the best ever to make it over the trenches and into public domain in AGS!!!

I cannot wait for the thrid chapter!!!

Okay a related, highly whimsical one (pretty sure it won't take long to get ):

It's addictive, but you don't inject it!(9)

I have been totally enthralled by this game ever since entering its world of kids at school in an incredibly dangerous environment of dark magic and even darker plots which all the adults seem to be just fine with:

Which is just S.S.D.D. in the universe of Harry Potter...

Through this game I have felt that I have attended Hogwarts, taken part in the curiculum, and also gone off on my own side-adventures as I saw fit...

I have not completed the game yet but I can see a LOT of replay value in it, creating a new character each time with different goals and motivations...

This game could even rival Heroines Quest in its depth of personal role-play...Time will tell...

Hints & Tips / Hogwarts RPG
Mon 03/11/2014 14:44:59
How do I:

Spoiler
Get back to Hogwarts after being back in the Muggle world? I have gone to the train station, purchased my ticket, read the sign that says the train leaves at 11, and waited on the platform for like forever without any means of telling what time it is ARRRRGGGGHHH!!! I suspect that time is not passing while I'm on the platform as my health never drops from starving etc... So what the heck do I do???
[close]

Nevermind solved the problem:

Spoiler
Nevermind I have figured it out: You need to use the train ticket on yourself...OUCH!!!

Apart from this hitch in my gameplay though I must say that this game is amazing...I would be tempted to say that it is the next best thing since Heroines Quest as far as RPG/Adventure game blends go...

I have also PMed a bunch of game abuse bugs to the author so hopefully this game will become even more awesome!!!
#10357
I have to report that this is a game VERY much worth playing!!!

The story and graphics demand that you play this game!

And the even more polished version promised by the author has got to be even more awesome!
#10358
Downloaded...and looking great!

But:

Spoiler
Got a game crash when I asked the Gringott's goblin how much money I had in the bank...

I had a bit of trouble with the same thing Cassie just mentioned actually, but I just kind of wrote it off as an extra challenge for the player in a fairly short game. I assume that more graphical hints were planned to make it more obvious what it was, such as a sign, a fence, or somesuch, but time just ran out?

AWESOME MOOD as always with your games...

I think I understood that the:

MAJOR SPOILERS ELERT:
Spoiler
Scrambled ASCII crash while picking the lock and the crash at the end of the game were deliberate seeing as I'm pretty sure there is no way AGS can crash in a scrambled ASCII format and the last fatal crash advertised the continuing chapters of the game in its Error Report: MOST ORIGINAL "TO BE CONTINUED" FORMAT EVER!!!

Very true to the C64 look you are going for...Not going to be understood by the bulk of your audience as deliberate flaws. Most are going to think they are actual bugs/glitches...Very bold choice which I can only hold in the greatest respect...
[close]

But...

Spoiler
I was confused by the game's ending but I think I have realised your cunning plan:

Spoiler
You have discovered MAGS as a way to tell your story in a way that keeps you continually interested in making the game in chapters, instead of just slaving away working on it on your lonesome over months or years, and eventually just giving up. The excitement comes from adapting the story to whatever the next MAGs theme will be. You also have the anticipation of winning the MAGS and deciding the next theme and thus eventually competing on your "home ground". I think the confusing ending of this chapter is a pre-planned "flash-forward" like in "Breaking Bad" or most Tarantino films designed to confuse us players and also whet our appetites for when we get to that point in the time-line of your story...

One last thing:

Spoiler
Please provide an alternative to killing a poor old dog with a shovel to progress in the game. I have no problem with Mureal wiping out anybody as long as they are human...But please give her a likable side where she can kill a poor old dog or choose not to (Maybe just a choice to hit him with the sharp or blunt side of the shovel?)
[close]

Anyway: A game I was firstly thrown off keel with and then, after some reflection figured out (maybe) where you were going with it.....?
