I must be staring at the screen too long, because for the life of me I can't figure out how to use an inventory object. I have a magic potion and an inventory bar at the bottom of the screen where you can see all your inventory. I want it to be possible to right click on your inventory items and use them that way, but I'm having trouble figuring it out. If anyone knows a simple way of doing this, please help.

From the manual (a very valuable resource!):

CursorGraphic property (inventory)

int InventoryItem.CursorGraphic

Gets/sets the sprite slot number of the inventory item's mouse cursor. This is the sprite used as the mouse cursor when this inventory item is selected.

NOTE: This property is only used if the "Use selected inventory graphic for cursor" setting in General Settings is turned on.

Example:

Display("The key's cursor graphic is %d", iKey.CursorGraphic);

will display inventory item iKey's cursor graphic.

Compatibility: Supported by AGS 3.1.2 and later versions.

Hahaha! This is a stock joke of mine every New Years for my students!!!

In Japan here there is a tradition of eating "Omochi" (rice cakes) which are like marshmallows but heavier and also telling your "Hatsu-Yume" (first dream of the New Year) at New Years time...

So... I always tell my students after we get back together in the new year that my "Hatsu-Yume" was eating a huge "Omochi" and then when I woke up my pillow was gone.

Some of them have heard this joke about 10 times over, but it still gets a laugh!

Desiree's (wearing blue/red) sprites are just a mess, I can't even get her side head to look alright.

First of all: Gorgeous looking stuff!

I am in no way a pixel-art guy...But the problem I would say with Desiree's side head view is that a lot of "body" seems to have fallen out of her hair making her head look narrower from the side than it appears to be in the other views.

Maybe try adding a bit more "fluff" in her hair at the back to round it out?

Also maybe a bit more hair showing around the top-right side of her face sweeping back out of view, and a tuft sticking out slightly under her jaw-line?

Or perhaps place a button to give everyone the power to censor images for themselves, be it for any reason such as: being offensive, kids-being-in-the-room, parents-being-in-the-room etc.

I was actually looking for such a button at the time so this is a great idea! I woke up at 5AM to attend the awards and it just so happened that my wife woke up just as the scene in question started to play on the screen. She didn't see the scene in question, but if she had she would have been sure to think I had been up all night watching porn. In this particular case this was simply not true!

We also have younger members in the community. I never saw a lower age limit (13+ etc) when you sign up for AGS so adult content should be pre-warned about at least.

So yeah, if controversial humor is to be included please give a way to self-censor it in the future.

Thanks to all the organizers for a fun time at the ceremony! It was well worth getting up at 5AM to be there!
