It reminds me of The Cure, and they rock!

Plus, you made a game out of your own child's drawings? That's great! I bet your kids love it too!

Hmm, a previous work colleague of mine is in hospital today from a heart attack.

My heart goes out to both of these people in their time of need.

Erm.... that's sarcasm, right?   :P  ;)

What I meant was that up close a low resolution sprite just looks like a mess of random colours and I have trouble understanding what I'm looking at unless I zoom out!
#1024
Ha, thanks Nacho. Yes, I guess I should have mentioned that doing small pixels in a low resolution picture is a no no, but I was demonstrating some things that can be done to improve on the sprite, rather than take the piss.   ;)

Yes I just don't 'get' how to draw in low resolution. It's too technical for me, I can't see what I'm drawing!

It's an obvious reaction.

"It's snowing today. I'll just smear red dye all over myself and dress in a weird outfit, being sure to show most of my body so I'm not too hot outside."

What other conclusion can you come to?  :-\ Disco must be great at parties, haha!

You what? And you just changed this, it said something else and there was a link to a picture. Spill!

I wish I could somehow easily sell these games in my shop, GameWorld; I reckon people would buy them!

Well.. goodness knows why I try these things when I'm not much cop myself...

*Blonde hair with different hair style
*Less straight legs
*No Jimmy Hill Chin
*Extra detail on Jacket
*Terrible incomplete shading on legs, and a nicer colour for jeans.
*Lighter colours for eyes, mouth and face

He still needs plenty of work and you need to make him slimmer.

A walkthrough book for the game itself! The most useful inventory item ever!

Hmm, after doing a search, it seems that someone else sort of mentioned that idea before, although it didn't specify for which game and was so long ago I doubt anyone would remember..

I've only JUST read this thread, I guess it's because I'm not an animator so I didn't have a look.. still, thanks for including my name in your thread, teehee! I can't imagine how one of my music videos would have tied in with your project anyway?

That's funny, I've just started a game of Saint's Row the other day! Hehe it must be funny having that character being a badass mofo! I just got lazy and did another Wesley Snipes look a like.. you'd think I was Wesley Snipes mad! But I just have the Blade films.
#1032
That's right 2 of you, Wesley Snipes! Well if 2 out of 3 sort of guessed it right, it can't be that bad! I can't change him now anyway!

It seems I got the beard wrong, I made him from memory...

Well I wouldn't say the game was bad Nacho, it is actually good, but fails to live up to it's hype like most games.

Let's see how well or crap I made this lookalike of a certain film star! Who is it and what film is his look based on?

I'm using this character in Mass Effect! I've played through to the end as a good guy, and now again as a badass with the above character. Not as good as Star Wars KOTOR 1 if you ask me, the planets you explore are disapointing and there's too much time spent in the Mako, a jeep/tank thing you drive around and shoot in. I still liked it however, hence the replaying of the game. They give you choices to make, but most of the time you're either gonna pick all the nice things to say or be evil, and if you start being good at one point and then go evil your man/woman will just seem out of character or maybe they have multiple personalities! Maybe I'm being too harsh on this game, but that's what happens when games are hyped up with big promises and don't quite deliver.

Holy shit!!! Deus Ex 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Didn't Ion Storm break up?? Still, I love this site for it is the first one to tell me about this sequel.

Okami! I think in time my copy will become rare and I will make a tidy sum on it. Oh, except it cost me £22, from when it first was released, so maybe not.

I'm glad she likes it Nik!  :)

My shop is the best shop in town. Do you know why? It doesn't play christmas music!

Well, apart from when the owner of the company is covering me on my days off, like today.  ::)

This year I got my brother a job in Argos, that was like a xmas present, I had to stick my neck out to get it for him, and then he ran away. Fine, be on the dole then! He's 30 years old!!  >:(

Sorry, I'm going to use an existing TV series!  :P

Star Trek Deep Space Nine:

Odo's Investigations

Solve crimes as Odo, the shapeshifting security officer! Use your office to contact your uh.. contacts, and find out information from the databases. Use your keen observation skills to observe whether people are lying or not, shown with a small diagram of some sort. Shape shift into different animals and objects to investigate smuggler's ships and find clues and evidence! The fact that Odo never carries a gun in the series works well for a point and click style game.

I actually wanted to make this once, but I don't have the skills to draw serious characters and backgrounds.

Personally, I would drop Dreamfall, and possibly the Syberia games.

I agree, if I'd played those before other adventure games they'd put me off playing anymore, but they're okay for when there's nothing better to play. (Not played Runaway games, probably never will)

And I'm pretty sure the Commodore Amiga never had that program either, and it had an adventure game creator itself anyway, called GRAAL. But it was heavy on the scripting with no gui. (Basically like fully scipting in AGS without touching anything else)

Did anyone here use that? Oops sorry hijacking your thread!
