General Discussion / Re: What to do?

Lets see your CV. I'd just like to make sure it's a good one, is all. I've seen a lot of CVs, managing a shop, and so many get chucked in the bin for various reasons... so they don't even get past the first hurdle.

So for all I know you have a great CV, but let's see if that IS a problem or not. Feel free to not include personal details. I'd need to see it as it would appear on a piece of paper, layout and everything.

That's all I can help you with, personally.

Sorry but I dont like it either!

Why IS there a penis monster on the t-shirt anyway?

That manis hideous in a bad way, and why is he groping that baby like that?

You clearly are competent at photoshop, but I too don't like the design..

This image is a combination of different things, but they're all relevent to the theme of the album.

General Discussion / Re: Heh heh, Halo 3.

lol. indeed.

What really sucks about Halo 3 is the Ltd edition tin cases. The discs fall out of their holders so easily, that almost every single copy has scratched discs. No matter what shop you buy it from, you more than likely will have a game that is scratched. Microsoft, so Im told, are accepting the discs back, and its just as well, as my company has had a few returned complaining that the game doesnt work at certain points.

Another branch had two faulty Halo 3 copies, that were from the standard editions! Perfectly mint games not working! A customer returned it, they tested the game, didnt work. They opened a new standard one up, didnt work either! Id suspect a faulty console perhaps... its a mint demo pod console thing though..

The game itself? Oh well it's alright on my first brief playthrough.  :P

Why did I buy it? Well I kinda got caught up in the hype! I dont have time to play all the games I buy. Ive got about 4 games I've not even played at all! help!!!

You reported them? Excuse me while I go snigger to myself in a corner..

They were making a point though; and that point is that your whole post is awkward to read because it has barely any full stops or commas. You need to brush up on your english skills.

Innit tho.

Additionally: Perhaps I am an exception, but those examples in the last paragraph are just laughable. Perhaps "affect" is understandable; my girlfriend wrote that instead of "effect" only the other day (Her skills lie in maths), but HOLY CHEESE?!!

I havent used paint shop pro, but if it's an easy program to use, then I say stick to it, if you're fluent with it, theres no need to complicate matters with a new program. Once you've reached the point where you find yourself wanting more advanced features, then a new program is advised.

1. punch
I'd punch myself for a million!
2. insults
If they were personal and intelligent insults I might feel terrible and cry, but the million would make me quite happy!
3. nothing
I'd rather not change myself randomly or set a bomb off, thanks. No price would change that.
4. magic
I'd rather change myself than be a person who would set a bomb off for personal gain!
5. bomb
I am Osama Bin laden.

If you got 40 downloads in 2 months for a free game, what makes you think it would sell? To be quite frank.

Is this some kind of a joke??

I used to send money to Action Aid. It was £5 a month. Once a month I'd receive a fully coloured booklet and photos. I'm sorry, I thought I was funding a good cause, not a publication!

That's really bugging me Nik, it would be "shitty" not "shity", if it's even an actual word!

Jesus lo_res_man, why don't they spell check every post as well while they're at it!  :P

 :(

Two other people died in the crash too.

It saddens me to know Colin died, and it saddens me even more to know his 5 year old son died, and a six year old. So young...

Erm... isnt this second photo taken from this game??

Ooh another old thread! It feels like I'm retreading the past on these forums recently.

I am actually enjoying TellTale's Sam n Max games quite a lot, even if the puzzles are really easy.

Interesting Domino!

Never seen that cover before, but then as far as I know the UK PAL release had the other cover. I might add, I'm rather glad it had the other cover, I hate this one you've showed us!

Guybrush looks like a right freak of nature!

Why do you like it over this one?

(I have the ps2 version by the way, thatn I bought when it was a new title, costing me £40+, ouch!)

General Discussion / Re: BIOSHOCK-ed!!!

I don't like scary horror games, or even scary horror films for that matter. So I'm GLAD Bioshock wasnt scary!  ;D

(Although I sometimes make allowances for games, like Resident Evil 4, but then that wasnt really scary either so I'm okay with it!)

Personally I think Loom is just one big conspiracy ... I've never seen one thing to make me believe that the game actually exists!

I'd take a photo of the case for you, but the game is at my shop, and I have the week off. What were the odds?!

Yeah thats came along lovely! One last thing perhaps, the part where the neck meets the clothes. Compare it with Progz's picture to see what I am getting at! Well, that part looks unfinished with missing pixels or something. *shrugs*

Jesper Kyd did the music for Freedom fighters, and maybe the Hitman series, right? That's some good music there!

If someone asks me if, for example, Dragon Quest on the ps2 (the UK's only one) was any good, I wouldnt reply with "The music is top notch!" as it doesnt answer their question. It's not a good enough reason to base purchasing a game for. Just like this guy who told me he didnt like Shadow Hearts 3 'cos the voice actors had changed for some of the low key characters. Why would that be enough reason to hate a game?

I remember music from the C64 days more so, not because it was better, but because the whole game would have about 3 songs that loop after 4 minutes.

I am currently playing Rogue Galaxy, and after about 2 hours on a level I was starting to get bored of the music on that level. I got like that on Kingdom Hearts 2 once. The music is great, but it will grate after hearing the same part over and over. And you cant turn it off without using the master volume.

As for magazines, they sometimes mention the music, but rarely. They usually mention it if it really impressed them, or they moaned about the emo/hip hop radio station in the latest EA sports title.
