I'll share it on my Facebook/Twitter accounts when you've uploaded it! YouTube, I presume?

In Trails and Traces I have a puzzle reliant on matching a few colours. You can look at the objects and the main character will tell you what colour it is.

Howdy!

I have decided to make a lot of my music catalogue available for free as downloads from itch! If you want to try my latest work, that would be the Nightside and Dayside EPs. These aren't instrumental songs, bar a few.

Nightside is electronic synth focused, and also a few heavier tracks are on there.

Dayside is indie alternative music, but both EPs are quite varied in sound.

If you're an EMF fan, the album New Dawn features a song with the lead singer's vocals and guitar work!

You'll find YouTube videos on each page, if you want a sample!

If anyone wants to use my songs for any non-commercial product or whatever, just PM me for permission, thank you!

(Typed before several other posts appeared)

Do yourself a favour Jack, and look up the definition of transphobia. It means more than just a fear of. Of course, if you don't believe trans people exist, then to you the word itself shouldn't exist, yet there it is, and you're using it yourself just now confirming the word does exist, even if you don't fully understand the meaning.

There's a difference between thinking something, and spewing hatred towards people online. You disgust me, Jack.

Alas, due to a change in circumstances, I'm going to have to put this game on hold for the time being, and find a (actually paying) job, and a new place of residence.

I knew there was a reason I always liked Limpy Fish! And yet I still don't know him (?) outside AGS or er, Steam apparently.

All well said, and I appreciate the understanding.

Aquaman was.. okay.

Wonder Woman was much better.

I voted for Labour/Corbin, and I've never voted for the Tories.

It's funny how something like Asthma is seen as nothing these days, but if one day, I couldn't get access to it, I could die, so it's not exactly nothing.

And that seems about right, Alistair.

I can't remember. It was so long ago..

Politics is something that generally goes over my head anyways, I just saw lists saying benefits to both and its all blah blah blah to me! I shouldn't even be involved in this thread but I thought I'd confess my sin, lol.
#171
Obviously I can only speak for myself, but yes, I was aware of that being the case, but after seeing how many racists suddenly came out of the woodwork after brexit voting, I didn't realise just how many there were.

My vote was almost a throw of the dice, I still hadn't decided when I was standing there with the pencil in my hand. I could see potential benefits to both options, from the bulls**t I'd been fed.
#172
Yeah I agree with you both.

Thanks Ben, it's nice to hear that other people regret it too and feel duped. I do wonder just how many people wish they had voted to remain.

Another awful thing is when I hear people calling all brexit voters racist, and doubtless there would likely have been a number of racist people who voted to leave, but they are wrong to assume everyone is.

#173
Boy are we screwed.

I can only apologise for voting to leave. I was on the fence the entire time. I had to make a choice, but despite trying to research it, I still didn't fully grasp everything. I also feel misled. I didn't know they wouldn't have a clue how to deal with this. They seemed so confident.
#174
Ironically despite Limping disagreeing with me, nobody has mentioned the games industry for brexit that was the point of the thread.

And if things get really bad to the point of certain food shortages, then everything affected by brexit isn't going to be equally bad.
#175
As much as I love video games, I haven't given a single thought as to it being affected by brexit, there's far more important issues to be concerned about.

Laura: I'm aiming for 120% but I shouldn't be too ambitious. ;)

Matti: Thanks! I'm not sure anyone is going to get what the reference is with the body on the floor down the corridor, but maybe if Boiled-Hard says something extra hinty upon looking at it..

Cassiebsg: Yeah, that's a good idea, but I think it won't be a big deal now I've slowed it down. Seems to have been fine in my previous releases. (Although my first and second games didn't even have the option to turn the speech off so.. that's just Trails and Traces that didn't have any issues with so far.)

I thought you'd painted over the Curse of Monkey Island sprite until I did a comparison! Someone likes their art style, and who can blame you!

Lovely background art!
#178
Thanks!

I was thinking a couple of screenshots might not be good enough to grab anyone's attention, so I focused on this section's animation and dialogue, even though it's not at the start of the game! (There's a one room scene before it to start with some excitement!)

Oh, good point! Not everyone can read lightning quick like me! *Sticks in the code: Game.MinimumTextDisplayTimeMs = 2300;*

Fixed! If you set the (Yet to be recorded) speech on, naturally it will be on screen for as long as the audio plays, which is why I should try and leave some empty silence after a short line is said, such as "Yes."

Ooh I should do that percentage thingy! I'll edit my first post!

Here is a short clip of some dialogue from the game, to give you an idea of the humour and style!

Detective Boiled-Hard will be a budget priced short game, with one case to solve, by asking questions via your electronic notepad, to get to the truth!

Get shouted at by your boss. It's part of the job.

Pester people minding their own business. DO IT!

- With a focus on funny dialogue, ask people stuff and barely use your inventory! (Except for fun non-progressing messing around with people!!)
-  Visit several locales in your pursuit of a murderer!
- Listen to a male attempt a couple of female voices for the female roles!
- Simple left click = interact, right click = look at, interface.
- From the maker of AGS games "Trails and Traces", "Secrets" (If you remember that), and "Hell, Heaven, and the Neitherworld" (Formerly known as "Limbo the Adventure game")
- Coming to Steam for PC, late 2020! (Hopefully..)

So, if you like the look of this game, and have a twitter account, please follow me!
