Well you see...

Yeah the term "Coloured" seems stupid to me, and I've never used it. I'd also say it's not very nice, so I too am surprised the police would use it.

I mean, I'm hardly black and white! I'm have a colour too!

Babar, it's not like that. With the Pakistan short word. As I said in a PM, in my country it's used as a derogatory and offensive word at anyone of that skin colour. It's hard to explain. It's like, it doesn't matter to them where you came from, were born, live etc. You're just referred to under this one word as they don't care. So if Babar, you were born in the UK and had never even been to Pakistan, these ignorant fools would still refer to you as that word to alienate you, single everyone out of the same skin colour as you, and plonk them into one catagory like you're all the same. And that's what I really hate about it. So, to that end, if I was born in Pakistan, and came to the UK, I wouldn't be reffered to by that short word, as I am white. I hope I've explained that to you in a way you understood.

But to me, Babar is that nice person who is a part of the AGS community.

I wish to lighten to mood, if at least for myself:

Look into my eyes! You know you want me.

Have more nightmares Krysis! On the house!

I don't miss that length of hair. Oh well, something I ticked off on my list of things to do before I die. (Not having short hair)

My response to seeing Skyfire's name in the subject thread met with a laugh, although I can see what you mean about it being the wrong thing to do.

However I cannot find it in myself to ask that it be removed, on the grounds that Skyfire hasn't retracted his statement, making him just as bad as the guy that played Kramer, but at least that guy apologised afterwards.

I was forming my own ideals at 12 years old, like becoming a vegetarian, when I didn't even know any vegetarians. But maybe I am a unique individual and cannot be compared thus. (When it comes to letting Skyfire off the hook using his age as a reason. Whatever the hell his REAL age is.)

Okay this is an old thread, but I'm hoping the subject matter means I'm okay to bring it up..?

I'd be really grateful! :)

I have this feeling it's a bad review, with those 3/10 and 4.5/10 ratings for something, but my curiousity is strong!

Thanks!

Actually he does have a point...  :P

You can talk with your trophies taking up precious webspace!

Hello past-their-sell-by-date-thread bringer upper!

I wasn't saying they were emo. Not at all. It was the fact they all have a similiar theme to their names. I'd accuse most of them of ripping each other off, but not MBV as they've been around for many years.

The mould: Alright! Finally! Now THAT'S mould! Well done. Nice to know some good has come from this thread, after four pages..

Not sure if the MM deluxe people mind you taking their backgrounds. At least credit them in the credits. If this was talked about already, well I can't remember.

How about some snow on it?

I don't have those fonts..

If you want, post the image without the writing on it, and mention the fonts used, then maybe someone will make the font clearer for you, as I don't know how to anti-alias font in photoshop. ('Cos someone told me you can't make it look non-smudged?? Was I told wrong?)

I think the contrast is fine the way it is, imo.

WOW!!!!! Nostalga SMACK IN THE FACE!!!!!

I was looking for a C64 style synthesizer vst plug-in (Still looking) when I came across an mp3 entitled "Crazy comets" by Ron Hubbard. His name sounded VERY familiar and I played the tune, and INSTANTLY recognised the song!

http://www.gamestone.co.uk/zzap_world64/datahits/04_crazy_comets.mp3

I didn't remember the game though till I looked at a screenshot:

Wow! I'd TOTALLY forgot about Crazy Comets! I played this loads!

*Saves the mp3*

I feel like finding mp3s of things like Creatures 2 and Spy VS Spy now!

Ooh, and that codemasters game with the formula one cars from birds eye view! What was that called? Super.. hmm.. can't remember. Damn. Maybe not super.

PS - Aww, I saved it but it won't play with any of my music players..

Not that I'm trying to be racist or anything but that just proves how far black people will go to get free money.

He was right about one thing though. He wasn't "trying", he was SUCCEEDING.

Skyfire, this is about officials/laywers/governments blaming videogames, not the murderers, in this case.

Why are you digging up old threads Rharpe? I thought you'd know better than that!

I prefer the dog. (Out of those two.)

I think Darth meant, for it no longer to be considered racist to say that n word, rather than being racist. At least, I hope that's what he meant.. Something like that.

There was a time when I was younger when my mind didn't even process what skin colour a person is. But everytime such descriptions are brought up (ie EVERYWHERE) my mind thinks a little differently, and I don't like it.

An ideal world could be if nobody even thought about it, unless pressed to make a description for identification purposes. Never gonna happen though..

Tiled design? How about something like this? In blue like you mentioned. Not swirly, but Fish-dagger related. Box needs work still, as does font. I'm just showing you ideas to well.. give you ideas.

Although I prefer it in red-ish colours. I also centred the band's logo, no? Amongst other things. And yes the swords aren't lined up right 'cos I didn't think it was worth going to the trouble.  ;D

Don't know what happened to the band pictures, but nevermind.

What do you think?

I have no issues with the band logo, nor where it is placed, although I agree about the photos. (Although you said they're stock photos)

It certainly looks rather plain. You said you'll insert a blue background. This would almost be as dull as white. take a look at some signed artists of a similiar genre and see what sort of backgrounds they use. Generally if the text box is translucent, the background photo needs to be low in saturation of colour, or so the text doesn't disappear into it. If the box is solid, then a background that looks nice around the box, but at least you're not so restricted with what image to use.

Pop ups? Does that mean when I click on them, my pop up blocker will block them? If you got a designer who knew flash, they could make the thumbnails grow in size when the mouse hovers over them. Then perhaps a click will send you to the photo/pop-up?

I'd say look for a nicer font, something not so commonly used, but easily readable still. The font for "home" etc looks nice as it is though. (Is that the same font or not? Either way i stand by what I think)

The copyright 2006 daggerfish might not be technically right.. I mean, copyrighting what exactly? But I don't know about what copyrights go where.
