Based on one person's opinion?

Keep at it.

Although he was/is rough on you, do take some of what he said as advice and use it.

Will you stop being an asshole?

Thank you.

You wanna read that again Radiant?

I went to a great school, I did.

Maths (I suck at maths) - E
English literature and language (I'm good at) - D, D (The english teacher also LOST some of my GCSE work prior to the exams.)
Art - E (The teacher looked at 80% of my work done so far and said "You should get a C for that!" She also embarresed me and held up my work to everyone telling them what they should be achieving. Bah, I bet they all got A+)

I am somewhat bitter about the whole experience. I shan't even tell you the grades for the other billion lessons.

Use stretchy skin on manhole.

Not the worse puzzle ever, but it's all that came to mind.

Probably any puzzle from Discworld 2, although I never finished it.. for puzzle related reasons...

The Rumpus Room / Re: The music thread

Hmm that beats the drum machine trousers, m0ds!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/content/articles/2006/10/31/marc_bull_beat_pantz_feature.shtml

Oh. I just used to know a guy that would say he only liked Genesis before Phil joined. So i got a little confused, yet I'm still technically right to ask then, haha!

Nirvana. The band Thoria gets tireless comparisons to them. I love Thoria. "She keeps bodies in the attic!" and "I've got satan in my life" oh ho great stuff! :)

I'm not into Nirvana. But my older brother is. I do like Dave's band The Foo Fighters though. It's like a generation thing or something or you get me, if you count a six year age gap as generations. I think you still don't get me. Ah well tough ptooie.

So what it is?

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Yes! (I DO know what it is now honestly) I would have used that in Secrets if I'd known about it. Oh well. Nevermind. I'd still have no recorded speech sound anyway, right?

I'm no expert, but although that carpet is an improvement, I'd suggest desaturating it slightly. And now the couch appears to be really sticking out of place around the edges, I guess you'll rectify that when you've settled on the right carpet.

I'm sorry, but have to point it out. I see it all the time and it drives me mad: "go to its thread"

My english skills have gotten worser since I used the internet. ;)

I can see why someone would make that mistake though. I think they're confused with when you say "Strazer's book".

Rui: *Adopts the voice of Cat from Red Dwarf* "So what is it?" So it err... makes background speech keep repeating itself in the background?? Ah nevermind I'll probably never make another game anyway. I can't be arsed to draw these days.

What function does that have exactly? It sounds useful.
#1791
All I can think of are endings that annoyed me. Yes, they've stuck out the most.

It wouldn't be nice to name AGS games, so I'll mention non-AGS made games.

MI2 ending with the big whoop theme park. Stupid stupid stupid.

Simon 2. Grrrrr.

I liked it until you added that ceiling lamp in! Maybe if you just had it switched off..

And, if you insist of a ceiling light switched on, would the light in the middle of the room still look like that? I'm no expert as you know, but it looks weird now!

Also, the light on the ceiling is now so bright my eyes look at that before anything else, so it detracts my eyes from the rest of the background.

I would love to play a game with these kinda backgrounds though! Can't wait to see a character!

I get the feeling a very few amount of people have glass surfaces where they have their computer, and an even smaller amount have optical mouses with glass surfaces where they have their computer.

AGS Games in Production / Re: Screwed

Looks nice!

I really like the name of the game!!!

Oh one thing, seeing as you're only 10% done with graphics. The mix of resolutions is a bit off putting. For example, that big guy's sandwhich looks rather blocky.

Hope to see it completed one day!

I like the patch idea: it can go on your clothes, your baggage, your pillow, your.... blow up doll........

Hehehehe!!! It works as a puncture repair kit!
#1796
Inflatable CJ?

What???!

Did someone already make an "AGS games collection" by the way? I remember something like that.. you know, large sized games for those with slow connections.
#1797
Fishing for ideas huh?

The "help" function seems rather complex, especially at your level. (No offence but you seem to be a "starter" to me)

I'd keep things simple if I was you.

I also think you should stick to just having three characters, rather than having a choice. Even 3 might be hard, nobody should make a 3 character game, for their first ever game.

(Presuming this is your first game)

Now now, there's no need to tell us your measurements too! ;)

(Too obscure joke?? Meh.)

And welcome!

And welcome to the other people! I think I never post on this thread ever. Woo first time.

I feel like making a small AGS game where the main character gets locked up in a jail cell at the very start of the game and they find a pen and a piece of paper, and notice a key in the other side of the door. At this point they scream:

"NOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And from then on the character refuses to unlock the door in that manner based on principle. Haha.
