Which was.. the tick boxes?
#202
I was being stupid. For some reason I thought his display text was the dialog options. It was late, that's all I got!

Aw come on Slasher, we need a conclusion, what did you do wrong before that's now fixed?
#203
Does the text appear if you have a character speak the lines instead of using "display"?

I've never tried "display" in a dialog but I would have thought display would override the say checkbox, but I guess Khris would have picked up on this, if that was the case.

Yeah I mean, I agree! I'm pretty confident I fixed all the bugs in my game to do with the verb coin but that's only good for my gui etc. So I doubt my fixes could even be incorporated into the template.

My game Trails and Traces uses that verb coin template, as I assumed it would be fine to use if it's included in AGS. Why wouldn't you?

I have my inventory gui pop up in the middle of the screen but doesn't fill the whole screen, and realised i could right click with my mouse when it's outside where the inventory would appear, and then attempt to use the verb coin in the room and find it would crash.

I got around this by having a transparent black screen filling layer, i think i put under my gui, so everything looks just slightly darker in the room, but in doing so you couldn't click on anything in the room now while the inventory is open.

I don't know if that is of any help to you?

I also have certain screens disable the verb coin, like the main menu, so you can't bring it up when that wouldn't make sense to.

Although like Snarky was saying about your mouse position. Why does the inventory pop up when your mouse is not all the way down yet? And not disappear as soon as you move the cursor off it? Is it not popping up because of the xy coordinates?

Haha, yes it's Spaceballs. I recommend finding the scene on YouTube as it's brilliant.

I thought it might throw people off, at the risk of it being easy to anyone who has seen Spaceballs.

I think scaling is covered in the manual..

I hit ctrl and + to use the zoom feature in Windows if I'm struggling to see something.

im not sure if the books are too close together but what about importing an object that is just the books with pixel spaces in between and then you set it to randomise what the description is. Although if they went back to the previous book it would be different again..

i think i might be on to something though.

How about using mouse x/y coordinates in some way? Would that work?

#217
what's this then! I wasn't even aware of this github thing. Very useful, thanks!
#218
the subject line is pretty self explanatory, can this be disabled so the user cannot change it in the setup? Linear screws up my game.
#219
Thanks Squinky, long time no read, good to see you!

Little update: All going well, Trails and Traces should see its release on Itch.io next week!
#220
CaptainD: Wow thanks! I'm not experienced in making trailers so I guess a did a decent job!

Creamy: Thank you! The game even let's you go down an alley!

Stupot: Cheers! Haha yes I really like little detailed stuff. Nice spot on the Garbage cd, has to be my favourite album of theirs. I flipped the birds and they looked like they were flying backwards lol. Nevermind eh not a huge deal. Ironically I recall looking images up to check, i must have seen small images and assumed they were flying right, not left!
