You too?

The first game was mute all the way through for me!

A TV program. Think Rock idol instead of pop idol.

I haven't seen it though, as the main presenter/has been rockstar annoys me to death in the adverts.

Not meaning to cause any confliction with thewalrus, just my opinion!  ;D

Oh right! Just what I heard, about the wall bumping humping thing!

Would you also do things that I do for fun anyway, like say play Deus Ex 1 or 2 and throw every single type of object at people to see how they react? I love pissing off artificial people!

Of course you also get to play the games before anyone else, and get paid for it! (and have debug modes!?)

Dunno if this is the right place to post, but well I'm gonna have a heart attack so..

I tested my AGS game and then the game cut out, and spybot- search and destroy told me there's a mallicious spyware in an AGS file, and well.. it deleted it.

So.. The AGS engine was deleted, and so was the main .exe. I downloaded AGS again, but now it can load up my game, but not run it as theres not the exe file in the compiled. Can it not remake the file again?

It's not the end of the world if I got a back up, right? However my back up would take me back a couple of hours worth of work.

Please help me!!! F****king spyware!!!!!

Oh, it happened right after I recorded a line of speech in goldwave and put into the AGS folder. Odds are largely that this is the cause. I will revert back to using Audacity.

EDIT: Okay panic over, I sorted it out! To have such near disasters occur so close to game release! (Close in AGS time anyway)

You can lock this if you like, or give me any advice.

I played the PSone incarnations, which I believe are more or less the same as this.

They were rated highly, but I think they were average hack and slash games with bits of puzzles strewn in to stretch the levels.

I do not classify this as an adventure game either!

It's about a million miles away from point and click games?

It's more like Maximo, but with more to it.

In 3D games the tester has to repeatedly bump into walls all the time. I can just imagine the PSone Lara Croft game testing: "Uh! Uh! Uh! Uh!"

thewalrus is beta testing my game, he had such enthusiam I let him help me. Of course, if he can't find anything wrong, then doesn't doesn't reflect his own methods, if there isn't anything wrong to find, unless other testers find a whole bunch of errors. No pressure though!  :)

What a lovely game! Raises a smile it does!

The flute puzzle was really easy for me Mordelles! I did it straight away!  ;D

Yeah the thing up north made me laugh so much!

Please see the first thread for an update! :D

I too had missed out on the first part, so I just played and finished it now! It was good! Check it out other people who haven't played it!

I know why you did it, but in any adventure game it annoys me that the player is clickable. I lost count of how many times I "Set corset to kill"! Pleeeaaase don't have the character clickable in this one!

I'm tempted to try out doing some game music myself, but I'm really busy doing hundreds of lines of speech for my game... I'll check back with you when I'm done if you've still not got a musician. You can see my music skills on my link in my sig.

If you want critique for future drawings at least, make the darker bits in guybrush's hair with a smaller brush, and a colour a bit more closer in tone to his main hair colour, it just stood out too much.

But hey, nice drawing! It has a certain charm. (LeChuck seemed like an after thought though)

A bit of both, but with Hitler in charge, the game might have racist content and propaganda, the artist Laurence will make every pink and orange, Carol will make the puzzles all about math, and the spicegirls will be banging on cans and pots warbling out awful vocals. (Without outside aid)

I think the zombie and Alan speak for themselves.
#2072
Eh? I don't even understand why people want to watch a man and a woman having sex.
#2073
You're all wrong!  ;D

the NIGHTMARE team!:

Project Leader: Hitler
Graphics: Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen

Music: Spice Girls (Without any outside help)
Scripting: Him: http://www.planet.fi/~jhkj/bloodycamp/zombie(elf).jpeg
Story: Alan Smithee ;)
Puzzle design: Carol Vorderman

Critics' Lounge / Re: Model Club Logo

Hmmm needs a lot of work bub!

First of all your 'f' is chopped off on the far right.

Second of all, that colour scheme has to change.

Third of all, Scrap the font and use something else. Something less poncey and more
menacing.

Fourth of all, the black font under the red font is something I used to do, but you have it on a backdrop (the shield) that is also black, thus losing it's "3D" effect.

So the biggest problem I have with it, is the use of colours.

Okay, hope I wasn't too harsh!

General Discussion / Re: Duke Nukem

Haha he took a crap! Not as funny as the piss scene, but then I AM looking at really old animation AND I already knew he was going to do that, so ruined on me a bit!

So neither of you had played those games... *bangs head against wall*

I did remember that I also got into Static-X via "Land of the babes"

Thankyou 3D Realms!

Big fat hairy deal! I had this game! For all I know, I might still have it up in the loft!

Game design wise it was awful and too hard. But I was kid and played it over and over again, even if I always got lost and died of hunger/thirst/energy/whatever.

No I'm not! Either time to kill, or land of babes had him seen from behind peeing and the sound effects of peeing were played! I've never seen him go for a crap!

No no, I may not remember his exact quote, but I'm 100% sure he takes a leak on someone when he defeats them.

So I think maybe he did both things. That rogue.

Helm, I think he likes to use a 'z' for an 's', and was talking about Moose wars:

"Gorillas clone done in AGS"

But then, you probably knew that?

You're right Helm, that game I was making, then stopped, and am only recently working on again; I'm not trying to make another CMI or Broken Sword, I'm trying to make a game with my own identity. Something that makes people look at it and say "That's a ManicMatt game" rather than "That's a game that looks like king's quest" or whatever. Not as though I could recreate any of those games successfully even if I wanted to, so why try?
