But on the PS2's disc tray you can swivel the logo around weeeeee! And it has an empty space at the back where I store my sweeties in. that MUST be what it's for.

I played the parody ad. I could make out "motherf*cker" and "weeeeee" and that's it. What's it saying?

Well I hope I don't have a wet dream with kinoko in it, I'll dream that she's a cat!

No I'm sorry, but if you have to hold your arm up at the screen and wave it around for hours on end to play a game you WILL get arm ache.

Although you might develop really strong arms eventually.

I just enjoy taking the piss (No wee-pun intended), even if the nintendo controller was the best controller in the world ever I'd still not be interested.

Hey m0ds, you forgot the fourth meaning:

Hello my wee boy! (As said by the Irish, meaning small)

*Reads "instantly won over"*

Oh I see, so you have to wave the remote around at the screen? Now I foresee something else...

LIGHTGUN USER:

"Pow! Take that time crisis generic bad guy! Ooh! My arm aches from holding my gun up too long! Good thing the whole game only lasts an hour! I'll just play something else but with a controller."

WEE USER: (I'm spelling it that way from now on)

"Bounce! Take that generic Mario bad guy! Ooh! My arm aches from holding my remote up too long! Guess I'll have to stop playing and fiddle with my thumbs instead for a while."

Not so with Squall. As I recall, it was part of the storyline that he was so damn quiet.

I was annoyed that Reno and Rude got so much story when say, Barrett was nowhere to be seen for ages! And those two were bumbling idiots, and I don't think the humour gelled well at all with the rest of the film. Although I did laugh when his glasses broke and.. y'know.

And Red XII having ONE line! Pah! (I don't think he was having another vow of silence either, as Cait Sith (Well half of him anyway) kept shutting him up. Not as though I ever got a good look at Cait Sith. I'll have to pause the movie to see him!

"it's a pretty weak game to start off a series."

It is? I never played your sequels after this one. (I don't play many AGS games at all these days.. I just like the forum) I always wondered why people were so mad on them. This game was okay, it was just the plot and the puzzles that didn't agree with me.

The PS2's ability to stand both horizontally and vertically meant my console is still alive today.

It always sat horizontally, as it looks better this way, and it's easier to insert the discs. However the laser became old and covered in dust, and eventually the laser lost it's strength and was unable to load up games. Cue putting my PS2 upright. Laser focused! PS2 loads up games again. phew.

I will, LJUBI, I swear to you.

Anyone seen it? What was your view? Here is mine!

I decided as my dad liked the final fantasy film "the spirits within" I'd get him to watch this new one with me. My only concern was that he's never played the game, so he's missing out on a whole back story. Whilst they tried to give you the brief story, it was difficult for us to hear the fragile narrator's voice over the music! Well I heard most of it, and they couldn't, actually. (Didn't seem to be a problem later on though)

The film was sometimes confusing. And I've played the game! I can't imagine how confusing it was for my dad!

Okay, the reason why I personally was disapointed, was that other than Cloud and Tifa, the rest of the gang were barely in it until later on in the film. To be quite frank, Cloud was one of my least fave characters in the game. ("WHAT?!!" - The majority of final fantasy fans)

The graphics though, were brilliant! And the battles were breathtaking. And when the gang finally showed up, I got a thrill out of seeing them! The music was cool, but a bit too loud for the film on a TV. (Our surround's bust)

The references to the game like the mobile phone's ringtone, and the teddy bear moogle were neat.

It only has one analog stick? How do you move the camera? Won't it being having 3D games at all? Fixed perspectives?

I can see it now..

CURRYS SALESPERSON: "How may I help you?"
CUSTOMER: "Hello sir. I'd like to buy a why please."
CURRYS...: "A why? Like as in wi-fi?"
CUSTOMER: "No! A why! I want to buy my son one."
CURRYS...: "A wire? A letter of the alphabet??"
CUSTOMER: "Noo! The games machine, why!"
CURRYS...: "Oh! Your son wants a wee!"
CUSTOMER: "What? Is he clutching himself or something? *Looks at son* He seems fine to me! If you're not going to give me a why I'll take my business elsewhere."
CURRYS...: "Wait! I'll give you a wee!"
CUSTOMER: "WHAT?? HOW DARE YOU! KEEP YOUR ZIP CLOSED! I'M NOT TAKING THIS, I DEMAND TO SEE A MANAGER!"

It was good, if a little stupid, and full of plot holes. (No pun intended)

Sure I like the mortal kombat games more, but it wouldn't have been right if the bad guy won.
#2493
Yes, but also a lot of other games too.

I want to play it! I'm playing as the kid with the baseball bat! Whaddya mean you can't? Dammit!

I'm much more optimistic about a console which is driven around an interesting concept (the weird remote stick thing to wave at Wii) than a console who's only real claim is "wooo! whizzy graphics!"

But haven't you seen the PS3's controller? it's a joypad AND a boomerang in one!

I'll take whizzy graphics over weird remote stick thing anyday. But then I can be superficial at times. Mind you, I'm hardly getting excited about the PS3 either. And I doubt I'll bother with the 360.

At least PS3 dynasty warriors will (hopefully) have a new fecking game engine!

"Only thing you can get for the PS2 is an EyeToy. Whoop-de-do."

There's more than that!

What about the kareoke mics?

What about the golf swinging simulator?

And at the time, it having a DVD playing function was a big thing!

And what about programs (Yes, PROGRAMS) like Music 3000? I made some damn good tunes with that!

Sure I'll admit that all of this wasn't Sony's inventions, but it does stand that they are things you can do with a PS2. Combining the eyetoy and a PS2 music engine, and a VCR, I made my own music video that appeared on a magazine's DVD. How many consoles can you claim have been able to do that? (I know I brag about that all the time, but it's a good point, I feel.)

I've never been into Nintendo, although I'd have liked to have played all the Zelda games. And my Xbox hasn't had a very long lifespan since I got it. (When WAS the last Xbox exclusive title released anyhow?) Compare that to the PSone, that had exclusive titles years after the PS2 came out.

First of all I'll say that's it's a fantasic piece of music and composure.

Now to crit! The bells at the beginning are symbolic of death rather than romance... are you sure this is the right song we're listening to? ...and so does the music, it sounds like a tragedy has occured, and that's the emotion I'm getting, rather than that of romance. (Unless it's a romance with the grim reaper)

So in short, great song; not romantic. Sorry.

And yes, the bell at the end could do with a little bit more in the volume perhaps, although without hearing how that would actually sound, I'm not sure, and as it is, the bell is blended into the music and feels like a part of it. Does increasing the bell's volume make it stick out?

Oh just like in that PS2 platform game Kya where you chucked stuff at the enemy and they had a scrap with the other guy if they can't see you!

:P

Better, but I simply don't have time to make sound effects and music.

(Oh well!)
