Turns out my Spy bot killer was sleeping too... Got a new spy dog to join forces.

Some very strange things occured though during my fight... like when i downloaded 'highjackthis' and tried to run it for the first time, sony erricson sound manager tried to intialise itself with my PC Gamer DVD. Uh yeah. Then no matter how many times I pressed quit it kept coming back. Then this window popped up that looked a bit like the device manager but it wasn't and it loaded up a list of devices or something, I dunno it was like SOMEONE was doing all of this! So I shut down my PC. Second attempt the highjack program installed okay and it shows no sign of any winfixer.

*Breathes*

I wish I had not came across a copy of gabriel knight 3, as I got bored of it a few  or more hours in.

And I STILL haven't played my copy of simon 2! I must find time!

You know, a while back my DVD drive wouldn't work for no apparent reason....

(And then I got my money back and bought a better drive)

Hmm I've got daemon tools, would that have been affected by the starforce thing then?
I'm guessing not?

Since I got the internet and could get my albums at around half the price on average than in the shops I've rarely ever gone into town since. I do wonder about how the shops must suffer. This can be said about many shops though.

I wouldn't wish for CD's to become eradicated in favour of pure digital music. I'd have to print out the artwork and my CD collection would stop growing into the even huger behemoth that it is!

Whenever I need some vague legal advice.. I use GOOGLE!

I buy CD's. I don't download music, illegally or otherwise. The whole Idea of paying for something that you don't physically "own" is still weird to me. I like a product to be made of something tangible, rather than a bunch of ones and zeros. It makes me feel like I've actually got something for my money. But thats another topic.

Is it really another topic though? I agree, and even then I like the artwork (if it's good) and having printed lyrics. (When they actually do. And don't tell em you can get them off the net, i know, but I like them instantly so I can lie on my bed and follow the songs with the words)

On the other hand... soon I might need a seperate room just to fit all my media in..

Hey! I got rid of realplayer and installed this alternative and when I click on a sample to play off amazon the classic media player comes up and shows a file to load up and doesn't play it, or appear to even stream it!

HELP me please before I go back to the realplayer!

Funny video and very true. I need one just as bad as that kid did. I preordered the Elder Scrolls 4:Oblivion, but i won't be able to play it without the system. Damn Microsoft!!

Not a new sci-fi game, but a hidden driver that could be on YOUR computer!

I've been reading PC Gamer... and it's all in there about this anti-piracy driver that could potentially be an access port for those evil hacker types! (Although not proven.. very confusing) it also could possibly ruin your disc drive.. so I hear.

I went to my device manager and clicked on view, and list the hidden devices... looked under plug and play, and there it is!

It comes with many games and secretly installs onto your PC.

There is a program that'll remove it for you if you want!

Audacity can zoom in, for example.
