Yer what? Didn't all the press claim Paradise Lost as the founders of goth metal? (Or at least the first to get press attention anyway) Yeah I thought they were more doom back then too though.

"Host" funnily enough was the first paradise lost album I got, being a fan of electronic music. My older brother on the other hand has been into them forever.

Believe in nothing was a very average album, and my bro doesn't like it except one or two songs, but "Symbol of life" is great! Their latest ditched all the synths and in some songs it's (so im told) their heaviest music ever. (I aint got the older material)

Weird.

Yeah I'll let you find out and tell us if it's any good so only one person has wasted their time on it (you) if it's no good!  ;D

*hijacks the thread*

What's your fave paradise lost album? And what did you think of their last album, the self titled one?

My fave album would be "Symbol of life"

That's the right title name right? Well you know which one I mean surely..

Who? Me? As I said earlier, I don't want to play them at all.

I do however think that changing the games and claiming them to be the "classics" is appalling!
#2672
haha!

I remember finishing Final Fantasy 7. I just killed the boss (which took an age) and then my parents wanted me to go shopping with them! No way! I made them wait shouting and angry as I tried to watch the final loooong cutscene.

Some of us older folks like the classic 2D games that don't take 5 minutes to load the next scene, or the strange angles the 3D engines place your character in, or even the crappy heavy metal soundtracks they pollute the games with.

Then I bring to your attention the remake of golden axe! They've made it pseudo 3D and made the game harder.

Don't take five minutes to load? I take it you never had a spectrum or C64?! (Although I assume you're referring to consoles)

Phantasy remake? Cool I never played them! Here's hoping then..

Bah, no sonic games in there...

That would be because Sega already released not one, but TWO sonic classic compilations!

General Discussion / Sega classics collection

Sega have jumped on the barrel scraping bandwagon and released their own classics collection on the playstation 2, with games like golden axe and outrun. I'm gathering the only reason people would buy this in the first place is for the nostalgia. So why on earth did Sega decide to "enhance" the graphics and sound for the games? From the reviews I've read it seems the games in their true original form are not available on it.

Being cynical, I suspect they did this in hope of selling it to more punters. "Look 14 year old child! We've enhanced the graphics just for you!" Or something to that effect.

Sure, I'd personally not play the games either way anymore, but I'm interested in hearing your views!

OR! Maybe her breasts have little hatches on them, and she opens them to contain all her inventory items!

I'm a bit stupid like that in that when I first saw the image I zoomed in and checked out the pixel art, wondering why the artist didn't dither between the shades, why the line of the neck on the fabric isn't antialiased and that sort of thing. I remember thinking 'she has a pretty face, and these boobs are ridiculous' but I wasn't outraged or anything.

Yeah I thought the same, except I didn't zoom in, and I didn't know WHY the boobs looked wrong (Not the shape of them as such, but the way it's been painted) but I knew it didn't look right. But I hope there is a puzzle in the game where it rains and you have to make a makeshift umbrella using some cloth and her nipples.

That's odd, I keep thinking about that hippy off the young ones...

I am infact a man who has the darkness hang around him like a visible aura. The darkness is a part of me. It makes passport photos a bitch to get right though.
