Curious, although I was annoyed by not being able to skip that cutscene, it WAS quicker to Alt-X it and just reload. Couldn't you just re-enable the load function at that point somehow?

But the puzzle on that corridor didn't stump me at all, I only had to sit through the cutscene twice, once when I didn't understand how to solve it, and the second time I was intruded by the pop up inv and it made me click like mad and get caught. I could understand why they are being confused though...

Hmmm looks very early in production to me. While the graphics are nice enough, I personally wouldn't want to record hours of dialog for nowt and then you get bored of making your game and cancel the project. Can you understand my doubt?

...and I might need to buy myself a better microphone! (See thread in general discussion)

Don't know if anyone can help me here...

All my speech recordings have a faint hissing on them. I don't know if it's my microphone picking up the fans on my computer or my microphone isn't up to the job!

My microphone IS a PS2 USB mic that I use for Music 3000. (It's what it was made for)

What you could tell me though, is if your recordings you do yourself have background noises or not, when using a proper pc microphone. I record using the microsoft sound recorder.

I do have a proper microphone actually, one that is a proper thing for singing with, and has the fat jack. I do have an adaptor that will fit it into my computer, but windows doesn't seem to detect a mic.

Any feedback is appreciated!

This person likes Aesop Rock AND Stabbing Westward? AND Mew? AND....

We'd both have a field day playing each other's record collections!

I'm on XP, and Curse works perfectly fine!

It works for me with or without SCUMMVM, but if I use SCUMMVM I lose the real main menu. So I don't, natch.

Have you used SCUMMVM on other games of the sort?

Did they work?

Yeah, I love voice acting, but I need to see something on this game!

It sounds like you've barely started anything, if you don't know the nationalities for sure.

Am I right?

Lastly, I too got reminded of broken sword.

Ah, so that's what Alt-F4 does.

Is my Lord of the rings text adventure trilogy worth anything? (Even if I thought it was crap?)

I also have "the three stooges" in it's box.

Not an adventure game, but Zool 2 had free stickers and a poster, and a chupa chups lolly inside! I bet someone has kept the lolly as a collecters item, but with added mould, ugh! (If sweets EVER get mouldy)

I played monkey island 1 on a lucasarts classics collection.

Somewhat off subject, but I played the monkey games in this order:

2,1,4,3

lol (To last post)

In that case, I want a t-shirt that says "I found big whoop and all I got was a stupid ending."

That be a neat t-shirt! People will think it's an old t-shirt though you must realise, due to the age of the game. (Which, criminally, I've only played a demo of.)

Hey gimme a break I didn't have a PC ever, five moths ago!

Great funny game! Could have done with some more character interaction though.

the main character's love interest is hot.

If I'd have had a mentor helping me out when I was stuck, I'd have learnt things a lot faster, that's for sure!

The demo was unavailable at the time, I had to learn by -shock!- reading the manual!

Most of the times i was really stuck i just searched the forums for answers.

8/10 times I found the answer.

..and it felt good when I figured out something for myself when I was stuck!

"Hoorah! The NPC is animating correctly! I'm a genius!"

I'd say to myself.

So are you calling your own game bad?

I just hope it doesn't put people off if you make an actual game and not a prototype.

but you are right, I enjoy complaining more than praising.

Now now, i like the faint colours, it looks ye olde and quaint.

However, the sprite farlander drawn has a better hat in terms of shape.

I'll be keeping an eye out for this game in the future!
#3357
Yeah thats okay!

Music was amospheric yet not intrusive.

Graphics- main character looks dandy, backgrounds less so.

When you look at something in your inventory you can't see what ego is saying.

How did I end up with two pins? Did you forget to remove the original pin from the inventory or did I pick it up twice?
#3358
I like the art style, quite cosy!

that stupid gnome with his annoying laughter!

I'll KILL HIM!!!

(I hope you can do that)

Charming.

Sheesh, maybe I should submit my one screen talking photograph?

I'm as far as being stuck from an illogical puzzle (From just looking at walkthrough)

I submitted a survey, but it was limited so let me make some points here:

(Sorry if I repeat what others said. I only read them all yesterday and can't remember!)

The first thing that grabbed me and shocked me was the intro. In the game I'm making, the ego comes home to find an answering machine message. His bro is in danger. Ego goes to his place. he is all bloody on the floor. Copper bangs on door.... sound familiar?

Have I gone for a cliche or is it just a coincidence?

The graphics were workable. The puzzles were the worst element because they were mostly inconceivable to solve.

oh and it's annoying in any AGS game when the main ego is clickable. I heard "YEOWCH!!" about twenty times in half an hour.

The music was nice until I realised it follows me everywhere!

Sorry am I being too critical?

But all these things are solvable for your next game!

I think you're too worried about the graphics. I've seen worse, and it was vibrant and colourful where my game might have too much grey in it.

And although I've put in your survey the cop animated badly, it looked very funny regardless!
