Take Larry Vales 1, too. I thought the graphics were... not it's best feature. But the jokes and self-aware injokes were hilarious!

I was thinking that once I get my computer bluetooth enabled, i might see how good/poor photos are from my mobile phone, and use them.

I did a mock game using a photo taken with a digital camera (not mine) and basically made the onscreen person's mouth open when talking. (With a 1st person view) It looked stupid and funny...

Would it be easier to draw with a graphics tablet? That's what i bought especially for my AGS game's graphics. A million times easier to draw!

Hey hey hey! Quite often I'll download a game off here, play it once and delete it. but I've kept your game!

I love the humour it cracks me up!

Nice graphics, I wish it had occured to me to not use black for outlines.

So far the puzzles have been just right.

To BaRoN:

Thanks! I'm downloading your game as I write this! (It's at 59% download)

I see your point. Indeed, in my first game that got scrapped, my character was smiling permenantly!

Downloaded it!

I must play it before Simon the sorceror 2 comes through the post!

Will come back with feedback.

I haven't announced my own game in the making because I don't want any pressure!

When I do proper cartoony it's akin to Garfield or Ren and Stimpy.

Laters!

Well, I've just finished playing the curse of monkey island (Oh I waited so long to play that!) so now is a good time to download your game!

Yeah know what you mean about drawing serious faces, I'm far better at cartoon ones too, but I tried serious anyway.. (Look at my icon)

..any good?

Played this game a few weeks back.

Pretty much i agree with most on here, good story, humour and graphics, unfair puzzles.

..and the whole death by car from the bar annoyed me!

But if I can make a game as good as yours I'll be well chuffed!

Oh thankyou thankyou!

I was ripping my hair out over that one!

As I said, I'm no scripter.. real amateur.. but some things NEED scripting!

I copied and pasted most of that script you see..

THANK YOU A BILLION IT'S WORKS NOW!

Don't get excited, I'm probably going to give you the wrong answer.

But in the light of there being no one else here yet, and that I have speech in my game I'm making, maybe I can help?

1)That code means nothing to me.

2)I record all my speech via the free windows program "Sound recorder" that's used in conjunction with my microphone. (However the files are massive unless you degrade them)

3)I then save them as ego1. ego2, etc

4)Before any spoken text in AGS, I put &1 so it uses ego1.

EG:

"&1 Hello!"

You probably know all that, right? Ah well! Just re-read the last paragraph. Oops. Still.. sound recorder, yes?

Yes this has been covered many times, I've been searching for answers for hours now! But alas they have not helped.

I've basically got a certain sentence said in a dialog, and from there I want the dialog to end and the NPC to move somewhere else on the screen.

I'm not a scripter, except when there's no other way of doing something!

I've got "run script 1" in my dialog script.

So is there something wrong with the script in global?

#sectionstart dialog_request  // DO NOT EDIT OR REMOVE THIS LINE
function dialog_request(int value) {
if (value==1){
//character[BAD].Walk(242, 111);
} else if (value==2){
//
}
}

I tried putting some music on below the character command and that worked perfectly. So why won't he move?

Please help!

I'm not usually one to cave in...

As a guy that's watched a lot of Stargate (Except the last series - dammit!) It's a thrill to play this game!

If this game had been made seven years ago it would have been something you'd buy in the shops.

Sure the english is quite unintentionally funny and poor, but at least it's IN english! I would have sobbed if it was only in foreign!

Played it for half an hour so far, and it's one of the best AGS games I've played.

Shucks, that's a bit late for me. I had to learn the hard way, without any examples other than the default stuff!

Anyway I've got to grips with most of it and I'm currently making a game that seems to be massive in file size..
