Oooh I thought it was one big image, I couldn't understand what was going on or why it got better further down!

For the first image, it looks rushed and um, it's bright and colourful. I think it would help to look at actual landscape photos for reference. This looks like you just tried to conjure it up in your head and this is the result. I don't want to discourage you though, keep at it and look up tutorials, and you'll improve over time. Talent is debatedly a factor, but just having raw talent doesn't make you instantly good at drawing or whatever. The field here looks like a steep climb up, like part of the mountain. The tree looks like a stick haha. Sorry!

The second one is yes, much better. I agree with Cassie about the disconnect with the water. Although with the sort of style you have here, I personally would go with a sort of frothy ring around the rock on the water. The water itself looks like I can see broad strokes of the brush which look somewhat rushed. Maybe try and blend those in better?

What is it you're trying to do? Is this in the AGS Editor?

Try running AGS as administrator and see if it does it.

Make a completed games thread, they won't move an in production thread to there, it wouldn't make any sense when people read the comments.

I think it would do better for you to make a fresh completed game post anyway. :)

Yeah I just thought that too, that must be David Suchet.

Great Scott!

I wasn't entirely sure on that one. Any more sounds better if it was in a film, heh.

I stand corrected! We're all getting lessons today! Although I swear the Internet has decreased my English skills in general..
#448
Yeah, just two things really.

"I were" should be "I was". "You were my friend" is correct, it's a bit much to explain, if you wish to learn more about their uses, try googling "i was or were", that might come up with it.

The other thing isn't so bad, and I'm not entirely sure if its wrong, or just doesn't sound natural.

"But I can't let you kill more civilians"

Sounds better as

"But I can't let you kill any more civilians"

in American English, I think it's one word "anymore".

Er.. Rosie and Jim???

Heh, that's pretty accurate for video games. Did you want english corrections for the comic strip or shall I keep quiet?

Better, but the way you drew that makes it look like it should be a grey colour like rocks, or brown dirt, not grass. Perhaps someone can explain this better.

Very different styles, I take it this isn't for the same game?

The walk cycle alien looks cool, but to me it looks like you didn't finish the rest of the walk cycle? His left leg moves forward towards the centre before going back again.

The self portrait is the best one here, nice facial details. Although the leg shading looks wrong to me. I could always reshade it to show what I mean?

The lady's upper legs are wider than her hips, is this true to your wife? I would slim those down.

The cyberpunk character is ok, could do with shading unless its intentional? I'm not a fan of these extreme side angles personally.

If a recolour is in progress, it is not fair to comment on the background as is. Feel free to share the redo! Although I will say, this lacks a lot of texture, like your dithering behind your self portrait. So far this background looks unfinished, with plain shapes and little detail. If you gave this background as much love as you did with your self portrait im confident you are capable of much better. :)

Heh, clever drawing.

I cannot see his picture, but I "do not have permission" to access the link either. :undecided:

Event Horizon?

That's why games have them as almost silhouettes, or just very dark, so the player doesn't focus on them much.

Why would a regular duck on a regular set be bluescreened anyway? (wtf)

Ha, because a man transmogrifies.. er, changes into different animals, so I thought I'd give away that the duck was a special effect, as there were shots of the animal actually there.

Correct! Your go!

I rediscovered this film a couple of years ago and bought the dvd. It was a treat to remember bits of it from when I was a kid!

I see! This is not as old as that film. Infact, this film is almost as old as me!
