Heh, yeah that convo has been done already I'm afraid!

Although I'm quite the opposite. I prefer short experiences - I'm more likely to stick around to see the ending!

I see, lesson learned!

Once Steam had refunded me I did the honourable thing and re-bought said games at the cheaper prices even though I felt annoyed that I had to go through that! I had someone in my shop today return a preowned xbox one game, said it doesn't load halfway through "a mission". Yeah, sure it did.

So there's a big Steam sale going on right now, and yes, I bought a few games. Maybe a dozen or so. Maybe more.. I've lost count.

But what's this? That game I bought for about £3.79 in a steam sale is now £2.19 a whole hour later!! what the hell!

Steam has recently made it so you can request a refund so you can buy it again at the cheaper price - in a limited period of time, and I think, if you've played it for less than two hours.

If this a normal thing on steam, dropping the price of something, and then dropping it AGAIN really quickly? What, is it not selling quick enough for them?? It makes me not want to buy anything unless it's less than 1.99 just incase it gets dropped again the same day.

Yeah, I love being a dick in games. In Deus Ex 1 everytime I came across an NPC, it was time to throw a piece of furniture at them to provoke a response, teehee!! Deus Ex Human Revolution didn't let me do this. I was sad about that.

Gothic 4 had a quest where an NPC asks you to fetch some mushrooms. The protagonist moaned about doing such a menial task - but then had me go and do it anyway, if I recall right.

I didn't finish it either! I ended up making an enemy of the biggest town and had to destroy all the robots.. and then I didn't really have much else to do and couldn't be bothered anymore. Yet some critics said this game was better, didn't they?

I guess I fall (out) into the "meh" camp. I enjoyed Fallout 3, didn't get on with new vegas. Fallout 4 just feels like I'll be playing the same game again but with prettier graphics. Just like Assassin's Creed I suppose - I haven't bothered playing the last 3-4 in the series.

There's a distinct lack of coyotes where I live! And bobcats. Ah the ol' act crazy to scare someone off act, but with animals!

At least I know I'll be ready if there's ever a damsel in distress. Again. Although you sound like you can take care of yourself!

A twist or two, is what you'll see in the story in my new videooooo!! Starring me and my best mate Hits, find out why I'm ignoring him despite his best efforts to get my attention!

Yeah I gotta wonder if they had been fighting in the street would I have done the same? The fact it happened in a place with lots of people and kids around might have been a factor in my decision to stop them.. I didn't particulary actually care that much about either of them!

ManiacMatt.. maybe I should make an AGS game called that, it seems to follow me around, I might as well embrace it! Three Stooges lol, I had the C64 game based on them!

So there I was in McDonalds eating some quick food with a friend when two loud blokes started punching each other! I put my fries down and ran up to them, one guy punched the other in the face, blood coming out of his nose from the blow. I held my hands up to both and positioned myself about halfway in front of them both and said "It's not worth it guys!" they carried on trying to fight but I'd made it a lot harder for them. A staff member manager came up to tell them to stop, and another man then came up and said to them "I've got kids in here!!" and then they stopped. One left the building, then the other. They then seemed to shake on it and left together.

My friend told me I was brave, and that he couldn't do that. The staff didn't say anything to me at all regarding it.

So I think to myself.. what caused me to rush to interfere, and was it really that stupid? It's just in my nature, I suppose. I'm told "what if one of them had a knife? You could have got hurt."

Maybe. But maybe not. I think if I had sat there and did nothing I would not be comfortable with myself.

So that's my "good Samaritan" act. So my devil's doing would be the next day when I went into a charity shop, found an Art of Thief hardback artbook for 7.99 in pristine condition! Went to buy it, and the cashier asked for 2.99. I didn't question and paid 2.99. Well.. that particular shop has greedy prices compared to other charity shops anyway, like 2.99 for a cd that would be 1.99 or a quid in others. Ahem.

Thanks, that was an interesting read! I got excited about him planning a sequel until he mentions it would be a apple watch text adventure game. Whaaaaat.

A feast for the eyes!

Cedric and the Revolution is a good one. And Spooks!

Restricting yourself to the top 10 would mean missing out on loads of gems, but I guess you can play the rest afterwards?

Like that one.

Down there.

Nudge nudge, wink wink.

Ooh you left feedback on the games page, thanks! Looks like I have a player rating now too, wooh! 3 out of 5 cups, I'm happy with that!
#677
Your character portraits are just AWESOME.
#678
I didn't take note of the score, it was the panel comments further down the page stating the game has aged badly.
#679
Ah and there's the typically harsh AGS panel rating on there too! I think I should be glad they haven't reviewed my latest game yet!

I forgot about this game, I think I played it years ago.

AGS clearly has better pathfinding..

I had a go, but there was a bug I think that made me go to the same planet again when I travelled to a different one! The place where you get the tiki idol thing. This must have took you ages to make, the game is a lot bigger than I thought, looking at the playthrough videos. There is much room for improvement, I could make a harsh long list of flaws but I don't want to discourage you too much! It did make me chuckle, though sometimes for the wrong (?) reasons, like character distance scaling or when I beamed out and then in, on a corridor after leaving the transporter room.
