Looking for an adventure game, most likely a demo.
You arrive at a castle, or manor house, there's a scene in the dining room with some guests and there is a scene in a library where there was a puzzle involving an old wooden trunk I think...
I think you where looking for a book and the setting was late 1800s...

Does that ring any bells?

EDIT: Found it! It's Castle Dornstein

Hello. Is there a way to add a fifth button to the custom template? Looks like it uses cardinal points to set the icon positions, so maybe four is the limit?

Thanks!

Just the other day there was a little exchange between Jonathan Ackley and Tim Schafer abut the Full Throttle Verbcoin on Twitter.

Here is a screenshot and the link to the original conversation:

Hello!
I'm looking for a game but can't remember it's name, it's an AGS game.
You are a detective, you start in the lobby of a building, where there was a murder, you can talk to some of the residents that are in there. You then move to the apartment and then to the bedroom where the murder victim is kinda nailed to the wall or something like that. Another detective, I think its a woman, is in the bedroom too.
You are talking about Abscission. Thread here. Demo on Itch here. The game is still in production, updated devlog not long ago, and it's looking good.

That's the one! Thanks! Was under the impression that it was a full game.

Thank you Miez!
I would have loved to play that fight inside a truck or to be in Buenos Aires.
But, the thing I'm most curious about is the character creation... what was that about?

We decided that working with the Indiana Jones IP was a huge risk, that we were no longer willing to take. But we still wanted to make an Indiana Jones game ... so the character creator was our sneaky way of still making this possible; because players got to pick outfits and the name for their character (and yes, there was going to be a fedora and a fine leather jacket in the selectable outfit parts :D ) you COULD if you wanted to, turn it into the next Fate of Atlantis. All up to the player.  (laugh)

It wasn't the worst idea...

That's very clever but I imagine it would be a lot of work. Did you have to make every animation with every outfit combination or there is a way to make it dynamic?

I'm saving this to watch later.
A couple of suggestions, maybe you could split the video in smaller videos for each game, or alternatively, annotate the video when each new game starts.

If you have to open the laptop, be aware that sometimes there are screws under stickers or feet, or other similar stuff.
Also, if you are not too fancy and the laptop is not really mobile, you can buy a USB keyboard and use that instead, but you have already purchased the replacement part.

I play tabletop wargames and make most of my terrain with cardboard, 3d printed parts and store bought parts, does that count as crafting?

Running as a window did the trick! Thanks arj0n and Crimson Wizard!

I don't have that resolution option, tried some 1024 x 600 and 1280 x 768 tough, and it does not work.

It's a windows 10 Laptop, resolution is 1366 x 768.

Here is the problem, no idea how to fix it:

switching graphics mode to...
bpp    = 16
width  = 640
height = 400
(re-)creating memory page
setting gfx mode
ERROR (SystemConsole::gfx_init): could not set gfx mode.

Thanks arjOn! First three work great with your instructions, but demo 4 is not working no matter what I do.

Thank you! That's exactly what I have been looking for. I'm a fervent researcher of Indiana Jones based FanGames, I have two blog posts (in spanish) about the games that made at least a Demo, that's why I was looking for the FOA2 Demos.
Have you managed to make them run? I can't do it on Windows 10.

Hello everyone!
I'm looking for any of the demos of Fate of Atlantis 2.
I have one with the name "ip-scumm-test1-win32" that I can't get to run on my PC. The user Dr. Jones uploaded a couple of demos to the, now defunct, FoY Forums with the name "FOA2-Demo1-2.zip" but the link is now dead, maybe someone has these files in a decade old backup or something?
Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: Free Steam keys!
Mon 13/03/2017 03:04:15
Hello guys. Haven't been here in a long time although I stalk some of you on Twitter. Anyway not really a steam key but I have a sealed copy of the cat lady to give away. A stray kitten needing a caring home.  First come first served. Just pm me. I will take care of the shipping costs.

EDIT: It's gone!
