What if we set up a TeamSpeak (or something like that) for this year ceremony? At least to hear the Host.

AGS Games in Production / Re: A Golden Wake

Finally! I was anxious to see what all those backgrounds where for. I hope 2014 is a rough estimate, what about March 1013? :) :-D

Looks awesome, the art department can't go wrong if Ben is in there. Now I must finish Deception before this one comes out!

Is an adventure game or something more on the line of LIMBO?

General Discussion / Re: Any Arma 2 players

In was about to get ARMA II in the Steam Winter Sales, but I didn't. Now I regret it.
I'm playing Planetside 2 a lot lately, it's not like ARMA but it's really fun most of the time.

I don't know what you are looking for exactly but, since fantasy has been mentioned, I would recommend the books of The Dark Tower by Stephen King. Those are translated to Spanish.
I'm currently reading A game of Thrones, and I must say so far it is exactly like the series, HBO has done a great job. I'm trying to get ahead of season three but I don't think I will be able to read two and a half 800 pages books in two months.

I watched bits and pieces of the Stream, but because of the sound issue, it wasn't much. Reading your comments, looks like you had a great time. As I see it, AdventureX has grown a lot since last year. In retrospective, the closure of that place in Didcot was a good thing because it forced the convention to get bigger, and all in all, everything turned out alright. So, congratulations and bring on AX13!

Right here are the fruits of my obnoxious photo taking http://www.flickr.com/photos/aralego/sets/72157632267523951/ . I just want to thank everyone for being awesome! ( shout back to AGD and m0ds. At some point I'll write more, but right now I am utterly pooped out.

Great pics! In the one from The Last Door, the link is wrong. It should be http://www.thelastdoor.com/

I hope you will stream something for the ones that cannot be there. :)

One little theological note : )
Spoiler

Horus was not a god of death - in Ancient Egypt Horus was a god of Egypt (Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt) united under Pharaoh's reign and Pharaoh himself was believed to be incarnation of Horus (later: son of Amon Ra).
Egyptian god of death, the dead and afterlife was Anubis.

There's a virus you can use that is called Thanatos, god of death in Greek mythology. You can miss this virus entirely, like some other things in the game. Not entirely sure if a good design choice. My first ending was refusing to ally with Metromind, it was the worst ending in an adventure game ever. I just died and nothing else happened. Thankfully after that I found some other endings much better.

Choices I can remember:
Spoiler

- Dead father, good mother in conversation with X,
- Kill X and free the girl,
- Susan doesn't have a breakdown after conversation with Bryan,
- Refuse to strangle Ivy,
- Give Mitzi the gas mask,
- Refuse to blow a candle,
- Convince Mitzi to let Adan live.

Choices I know to be significant:
- Keep the mask for yourself - Mitzi suffocates.
- Blow a candle - Mitzi dies of her cancer.
- Let Mitzi kill Adam - Mitzi dies when the room explodes.

At my ending Susan meets Mitzi at the cementary gate and they leave together.

Those are the same choices I did, but I
- Had a breakdown after conversation with Bryan
- Strangled Ivy

Mitzi died from cancer.

That schedule looks great!
People that wont be able to make it but participated in the Indiegogo campaign, will be eligible for the prize draw?

Looks great. Is this game made with AGS?
One thing I noticed in games like this and Quest for Infamy is that the characters look really tiny compared to the environment.

Just finished this and must say I'm really impressed.
At first I thought the game would be really linear, but I was wrong, so wrong!! You managed to create a sidescrolling nonlinear game, and with some of the best puzzles I have seen in a long time, pure art in my humble opinion. I'm not into horror or gore or nothing like that, but the story of the game caught me and I just had to finish it.

Spoiler
You made me really care about Mitzi, my favorite character by far, so I had a really tense couple of minutes at the end of the game. And when everything finished I was really sad. I haven't felt that way for a game in a long time, not even with The Walking Dead that everyone is crying for.

Congratulations, and I hope the game goes well because it deserves it. Now I will have to play Dawnfall.
Thank you!

I will make Das Boot: The Adventure Game, 4 hours of doing nothing, and then you die.
Seriously tough, 1h is pretty good in my opinion but a commercial AGS game might take a lot more than that.
