General Discussion / Windows 10, yes or no?
Wed 22/07/2015 00:44:53
Are you guys planing on updating?
I'm using Seven and don't like Windows 8, so I'm looking for opinions.

The thing is Steam changes the daily deal games every 24 hours, but for the first, let's say, 5 or 10 minutes, the games remain with the older discount. Last sale they screwed up a few times and the games where actually cheaper than what they should be, I got Don't Starve really cheap for one of those mistakes, so maybe that's why they are doing this now.
Long story short, wait some minutes after the deals are announced. Arma III was 40% when first in the daily deals, and 5 minutes later it was 60%.

It would be interesting to ditch the 360 firing and movement, for just a frontal thing. So you could implement flanking and encirclements.

Episode 64 has really inspired me to take a pencil and start sketching and learn to draw. I understand how perspective work, but my artistic skills are zero right now.
I usually get really involved in a project (like learning to draw) but loose interest with time. If I manage to keep this goal, it will be interesting to see what I can draw in December and compare it with January. :-D

I didn't like the unbelievable "tower bridge": the masonry would have clearly fallen apart when no longer under compression. (roll)  And the demise of Smaug was pretty bad, especially the you-could-see-it-from-a-mile-away demise of the Master.  And what ever happened to his lickspittle (Alfrid)?  And where was the wrap up of what happened to the Dwarvish kingdom of Erebor (Didn't Dain succeed Thorin?)?  How can Saruman et al. magically appear when needed, but Gandalf has to hoof it around Middle Earth?  Why didn't Sauron's armies use sandworms from Arrakis (or whatever they were called) to attack Minas Tirith directly in LOtR, instead of committing the strategic blunder of being held up at Osgiliath by Faramir (thus allowing his opponent's armies to converge)?  Pretty weak, story wise, in my opinion, and the over-the-top battle scenes were too fancy-pants to be at all believable.

A wizard did it!

Seven Cities of Gold
Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet!
Anna's Quest (Not done in AGS anymore)
Kathy Rain
Ortis (Come on Ben!)
Finding Shepard
Deadly Sunsets
Mythaumatology
Wretcher!
My Burden to Keep
The McCarthy Chronicles II
Latency

And some others I'm probably forgetting.

General Discussion / Re: Steam sale!

There is another Steam Sale going on. Steam page is a bit of a mess, can't even find Flash Sales if there are any. So it would be cool to share what deals you find. ;)

General Discussion / Unreal World
Sun 17/08/2014 02:32:30
Have you guys heard or play Unreal World? It's advertised as a roguelike but it's more like a survival game, and the best part, no zombies!
This game has been around for some 20 years or more, and is still in development, a new version will be out next month.

This arguments are part of what convinced me to play the game:
http://www.bucketbros.com/text/5-reasons-i-bought-unreal-world-rpg.html
Take note that some of that stuff is outdated, the game is free now, but you can donate or opt for a lifetime membership.

I have made some videos of the game if you want to see it in action:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkf0gftJnZpvhYjnK8AfxEoSV_1q9b-xM

And finally, you can download it here: http://www.unrealworld.fi/
Be advised tough, it's highly addictive!

EDIT: I almost forgot! This game is on greenlight right now: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=249428292

I'm tempted to try this, but we are in winter now, so I don't know of many warm places to keep the bottle for 48h.

anyone know where to download Falling Skywards by ben304.
There's lots of articles ,but no link.

It was released as a commercial game with the Bake Sale back in 2012, I don't know if it was released for free after that.
