Also, there's a thing that I've discovered that I'm not sure if anyone have figured it out. Before you reach Captain Smirk's gym, before you get past the troll you can try to insult the troll and he will reply: "I once knew I dog that was amrter than you" and tell Guybrush to stick that in his repotoire. Once you get trained by Captain Smirk, you'll get the insult from the beginning along with those that Smirk teaches you.

Did anyone beside me find this out too?

Critics' Lounge / Re: Need some help on a car

The background feels and is very empty. I'm not sure if all the doors will be interactive objects but if you at least have one that's not, then add it. How come there are no sign or windows and stuff like that. And the alley should have trashcans and litter.

I agree with that the ground is too high. You should see some walls or sky at the end of the alleys.

What bothers about the car that it somehow feels too flat. Why not add a little bit of the other side to the car to make it less flat. And also you should see some of the front of the car and the seats. Also, shouldn't the extra tire be on the back of the car, or is it just me?

I've stumbled across a problem when I changed the look of the options GUI. For some reason the Quit, Load, Save and Play buttons doesn't work even if I didn't change any of the code in the script. Before I changed the background of the GUI it worked just fine so I've no idea of why it happens.

I'm using 2.62 version of AGS.

Never mind, I found a way around the problem.

Nice sprites of Harry, Ron and Hermione but I've got just two critics: First: Hermione's hair isn't blonde but brown, not darkbrown but sort of like chestnut brown or something like that, I don't remember so well what the tone was(it's not so long since I saw The Goblet of Fire but I don't remember the actual tone of the color). Second: You forgot Harry's boltshaped scar!

I have played the demo and I like the game so far. The humor seems quite Monkey Island-esque, which is a good thing in my book.

I look foward to play the full thing.

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Re: New Banner

I would like to have a new banner and a longer one too. The random banner selection doesn't sound too bad but I've got a suggestion based on the World of Monkey Island site, having a number of banners and the members can choice the one they like best and the banner won't be on every computer but on your PC when you're logged on.

Even it was awhile since I saw Emperor's New Groove, I know that Yzma is shorter than the Emperor and both Pacha (right spelling?) and Kronk are taller than the Emperor.

Seems interesting. I like the paperdoll/comic/cartoony style.

I'm seeing foward to the full game. Is it much left before that?

I'll play the demo whenever I can, it's too late right now for me. Perhapes I'll try it tomorrow.

Who is this Chris character?

I'm not sure if you're trying to be sarcastic, Darth, but I believe the guy's talking about CJ, Pumaman, The maker of the Big Blue Cup and Universe of Adventure Game Studios (Okay maybe I exaggerate a little but couldn't resist).

Modern shield that increases your magic tolerance in electric spells:

... WHAT?

If you mean just an umbrella, there's one in MI3... but if you meant an umbrella that protects you from lightning and electric stuff then there haven't been. Hmmm... maybe I should make a game including a such thing... or maybe someone else. Who knows?  :)

Please focus on the actual topic, okay?

Didn't you make a KKK hat in AGS game Frank the farmhand?

Well, you did make the whole costume, not just the h

Does any game have whipped cream on spraycan? If not then it will be in my upcoming Christmas game.

Meatballs - Day of the Tentacle has spaghetti with meatballs

Not really because the wet spaghetti in the inventory didn't have meatballs but they appear when the spaghetti was put on Dead Cousin Ted's head, so it doesn't count as an inventory item but rather an object (maybe we should start a "Things that haven't been objects yet" threadÃ,  ;D).

Thanks, you never seem to fail to help me (which is a very good thing  :P ).

I've stumbled across a problem in my current project. The game will have a hamster that you will be able to play as. When I tested the game, I noticed that you could interact (use, give, talk to etc.) when you play as the hamster. The main-character is non interactive character and that's not a problem but when it comes to the hamster I don't know how to make the character uninteractivble when it's in play and make it interactivable when it's not in play.

How do I solve this problem? In case you guys have forgot I'm using the 2.62 version of AGS.

Yep, that's right!

Mary's breasts look a little too pert for old-lady breasts.Ã,  How they were before was fine.

You do realise that their feet are at 90 degree angles to their bodies?

About the feet, yes I'm aware that they don't look right but that's because it's hard for me to draw feet from the front without looking wrong or silly.

n3tgraph: Good suggestions. I'm not sure if you're aware of it or not but the face wasn't anything delibrate, it's just happened as I drew it in Paint. Now that you say it Santa does have almost a triangle shaped head.
#118

Here's the newest edit. I know it's not many changes on the body but I'll fix that later because I'm try out different kinds of shading to make Santa and Mary less flat. I just show you to see if the shading looks right or at least get in the right direction. Oh and I also improved Domino's shoes and added some socks (even if Santa's castle is quite warm inside, it can be a little bit chilly without socks).

khrismuc: Oh, I didn't notice that until now, I thought it was krylis because I read too fast each time. But I bet that krysis does misspell by purpose... right, krysis?

Hahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha.....ahhhh

Seriously, I haven't laughed this hard since Dane Cook's Tourgasm. I think we should turn this into a weekly contest: Re-invent Mrs. Claus' Feet/Footwear. Or it could at least be a sprite jam. That would be such a great hit.

If you really want it, go ahead. I don't mind.  ;) Hehehe.

QuoteAs for the sprites Mats (I put it in bold so everyone can see I spelled his name right, since this seems to be a very important thing to do) originally drew, I think he makes them flat on purpose. It looks much closer to DOTT style this way.Ã,  ;)

Thanks for showing them, Big Bro, you're a sport!  :) Don't you think it's annoying that many say your name wrong even though I've been in the forums for three years? For the sprite-style I'm actually doing my own style rather than the DOTT style but I'm working on shading and other ways to make them less flat.

Since this seems like a lighthearted game to begin with, you should keep Helm's elephants-as-feet. That would make for an awesome in-game joke. Like they could obviously be there, but with no explanation and all the characters purposefully overlook them.

Sorry but that's not my kind of humor, the same goes with the rediculous paintovers and ProgZmax bizzare game idea. Why not do those ideas by yourself? This is not an angry saying but a tip to you guys.

Ildu: Don't worry, I have already choosen the shoes for Mrs. Claus. It's going to be Domino's shoes (the paintover, not his actual ones). But maybe not just use them directly but sort of tweek them out a bit (hope you don't mind Domino but if you do, just tell me. You will be in the credits none the less).

Mr. Colossal: Thank you. The thread was getting out of hand.

Domino: Ah, now there something I could use. The shoes are really Christmasy which really fits for the game's theme.

Farlander: That's why you all must know that's my name is Mats Berglinn, not Matts or whatever you have called me wrong. And also, I wouldn't consindering chaning the forum name, I like it the way it is.

Krylis: Thanks for the critics but I'm not in the mood for start from scratch because I need the game finished before Christmas and I still got lots to be done even if I had a good start with the process. I will work further on Mrs. Claus with help of your critics though. Again thanks for the critics.
